 One night a few years ago when I got home I was watching the end of Rocky V with my girlfriend and I just started weeping like a child, she was bemused to say the least and asked why I didn't show that depth of feeling towards her! It was strange, it's just such a sad song and we all just feel connected to Rocky, there are few men who do not love the films and those beautiful black and white stills from those classic movies just created a unexpected reaction in myself that night.

I kind of liked Rocky V better then Rocky Balboa. Ok so he didn't fight Tommy Gunn in the ring and became poor again. It lacked good direction because Sly never directed the 5th one. However, the fifth film had heart and character. It represented special meaning your more of a man if your prove yourselve alot with very little you have.

Everytime I hear this song, it brings a tear to my eye. Ive watched every rocky film. Everyone was a journey in itself. And when you follow someone on a journey, you form a bond, you start to relate your own experiences in life, the moments you felt like youve been to that place in your heart. The song draws out those emotions. Incidentally..Stallone may be typecasted, but he is a magnificent actor,could a kid from the streets of baltimore have a better role model than Rocky Balboa? I say not.

Rocky V wasn't as bad as people made out - it was about the relationship between Rocky and his son for once. And the fight at the end wasn't "random" or "meaningless", it was Rocky showing Tommy Gunn and his corporate mates that you need real heart to get anywhere.

Even when he went toe to toe with the champion at such an old age, a remarkable feat even for Rocky, the entire emptiness of his life still hung over the entire movie. I don't know, I guess that's what made me like that movie a lot. I will agree with you that the fight scene in V was kick ass. Then again, what fight scene of Stallone sucks anyway?
