  • Oh my God, thank you so much for this!!!! I've been trying to write a fictional story in which my main characters pay a visit to the Mystery House, which is close to where they live. Unfortunately, it is nowhere close to where I myself live and although I've always been interested in the Mystery House, I've never been able to see inside it. Thank you so, so much for this!! I'm going to credit your video in my story so my readers can come watch this, too. They will much appreciate this!!

  • @XxSabineReixX You`re very welcome!

  • I can't imagine being a tour guide like that and having to repeat the same thing over and over again all day.

  • i was there for a tour also!

  • @EvariaFluff ur welcome

  • @xxhunnyxxbeexx an hour long script

  • @xxhunnyxxbeexx i got a you tube account mainly for my short movies but the tour guide gets most of the attention like her or not.

  • @jack2breeze i'll make sure i check out your movies. My friends and I are filming one in about a week and its always good to have other film makers opinions on it :)

  • this reminds me of an episode of the anime Ghost Hunt

  • I was a tour guide there when i was 16, it was the best time i had overall in high school, all the kids were friends and i had a blast...at least thats what i remember.

  • @happymarkkj do u no yur way around?

  • how many times often does this tour go on every year

  • @suprmriolndlvr1234 all yr round

  • thats just wrong they should still allow the video cameras and stuff in there still because this is probably only a once in a life time thing to do

  • @suprmriolndlvr1234 They don't allow cameras at the myrtles plantation (in louisiana) any more, and they used to. I hate it! but, they will let you take a picture of the famous mirrior in the main hall. I slept there once.

  • @suprmriolndlvr1234 dude...people need money. recording a tour doesn't all people to make money

  • I just took this tour a couple of weeks ago, and they don't allow any photos/video inside the house. They will let you take pictures if you're outside of the house. It's $30 for adults, but it's only $5 more to get a tour of the grounds, and you get a better idea of how the estate was run. I had gone when I was a kid, but it's better when you're an adult and you can remember everything better.

  • this house kinda scares me

  • Build me to the heavens and life never stops.

  • This place is amazing, I highly recommend visiting it! They offer daytime and nighttime flashlight tours, which unfortunately I wasn't able to do. They also offer a tour of the basement and under workings of the home for a couple dollars more, it was definitely worth it to get a little more explanation of the technology of the house. Whether or not you believe in the ghost theory, it is a really gorgeous home. it is fascinating that she was able to design this with no architectural experience!

  • Cool, thanks for posting.

  • @kanarvin ur welcome

  • How long is the tour and what package did you purchase? I'm considering taking my fiance here. thakns! and gr8 video

  • @easymail116 Thanks! At the time i paid 24.00 but now it`s 28.00 (adult) and the tours 65 min.

  • when i went there they're were no ghost i seen but i still believe its haunted

  • Well, thanks a lot for this self-made documentary. I prefer this to any offical stuff.

  • @JapaninArmeija thank u much.

  • How awesome would it be to play hide and seek in this house??

  • @azpandaman The awosmestest? I think?

  • @azpandaman not if ya get lost lol

  • @azpandaman unless u were it.

  • So if I stay far behind and get lost, there's a chance I'll NEVER be found?

  • @1970GirlieC no, the house is`nt that complicated.

  • @1970GirlieC it`s not that hard to find your way around.

  • @jellybellybaby234 You got it!

  • @jellybellybaby234 Oh, okay she must have meant the1 door in the seance room where if you open it and walk in you`ll fall on the kitchen sink below. Theres also the "door to nowhere" on the 2nd floor if you open and walk through you`ll fall to the ground.

  • @jellybellybaby234 I never even heard of the secret trap, sorry.

  • She told us not to take any pictures or videos while touring the house. -=0[

  • I went there last Wednesday and that was the same tour guide we had. Lol. That house is weird but very interesting.

  • @AnnieNgo916 I did`nt think she`d still be working there do you remember if she said there is no picture taking or video allowed?

  • I want this house.

  • hey jack2breeze, how much do they charge per person?

  • @explorer06able I paid 24.00 (Adult) when i went but now it`s 28.00 for adults 25.00 for seniors and 22.00 for children.

  • Is there any way I could pay to visit that house without a guide? So I could get lost.

Because nothing ruins a good house like that than someone explaining all of it.

The house is absolutely brilliant, because it is mysterious, it's NOT mysterious when you have someone speaking in weird tones restricting you to one room while they blather on.

  • @Soundfrequency Sorry, all tours are guided. It`s an old house and there are things they don`t want you to touch.

  • @Soundfrequency You can walk around the garden for free though, my friends and i always do that after going out to eat. I think its romantic when they have the lights on(during night).

  • how is the tour....like in general? i was thinking about going there for my b-day!...but i need to be convinced i should...

  • @jayjayfly654 It`s interesting, weird and a bit creepy but they won`t let u run around.

  • kool i live 15 mins away from san jose! i've never been here but i wanna!

  • I want to just go there by myself for some reason.

  • how long is the tour?

  • @ELtercermundista82 the guide said 65 min.

  • @xvoy2002 lol i`ve been there twice and they never took us into the attic.

  • ghost adventures should do a live event here

  • A lot of the ghost stories are just embellishments. There's at least three different stories people try to tell about why she built so many rooms. It's also completely false that she lived alone given much of the staff had quarters on the premises, some even lived with their families there. Her niece lived there sometimes and Sarah also had other homes in California. As a woman in the late 1800s, people probably spread rumors that she was crazy, rather than very creative if a little eccentric

  • The whole story of Sarah Winchester makes me feel very sad. Everything from the tragic deaths to thinking of a widowed and somewhat crazy woman all alone in that huge house.

  • Like they say, money can`t buy happieness.

  • ur welcome glad i could be there for you.

  • thanx for the video

    im gona buy that house

    lol

  • thx for da vid

  • ur welcome

  • cool! thanks for posting!

  • your welcome

  • i would love to live in the house!

  • Thank you for posting! I've always wanted to go there.

  • your very welcome!

  • My sister, Great Aunt, Great Aunt's boyfriend, and I went and took a tour of the hosue last month and my sister wanted to take pictures with her digital camera and was told by the tour guide that she couldn't take pictures

  • the tour guide was either having a bad day or did not want to be in any of the pictures.

  • here is 1 thing i dont get if sarah built so many rooms and slept in a diffrent room every night that way the ghosts cant get to her what happend when the ghost followed her when she was walking to the other room?

  • she prob never thought about it

  • thanks

  • My ex-girlfriend used to be a tour guide there and yes, they have to memorize a long script. The reason they talk like this though is because you get really tired of saying it all day long.

  • what a nice carpentry job that was full time work

    hi end lol

  • I love this house. The lady who built it might have been crazy, but in a good way. What a fun place to live!

  • she's very knowledgable but i think i would want more of a characteer to be my tour guide. also, do you remember how many ppl were in each tour group?

  • I have no idea.

  • why do tour guides talk like that?

  • Not all of them do theres another vid of a tour guide who talks kinda slow like a character from an old haunted house movie. And theres an older guy who does`nt talk too fast or slow but just right and sounds like a teacher so you just never know who`ll you`ll get for the tour.

  • She sounds as if she memorized a very long script - word by word!

  • or she says the same thing over and over how can she forget?

  • True.

  • the theories are wrong she made her house like it is because she believed she would die if she stopped building onto her house

she built on it for 40 years if she were to live longer she would've kept on building

  • She also made it the way it is to fool the bad spirits.

  • it was actually 38 years.... but whatever

  • how much is the tour? JW... and where exactly is it at? (it seems like it would be a good vacation)

  • I paid 24.00 at the time now it`s 26.00. It`s in San Jose,Ca

  • thanks for posting. im definitely gonna go there in the winter now

  • ur welcome thanks for watching.

  • This is AMAZING , sure the quality isn't that great but I don't care.

Thank you so much for recording and posting :D ♥

  • Your welcome! I just recently got the camera at the time and was learning how to use it i should have kept everything on auto instead of switching to manual and back again.

  • Hey! THNXS for uploading this!!!!! I live too far for go to the house. THNX :)

  • ur welcome, glad i could be there for you!

  • you get lost in their you aint ever coming out!!

  • i loved that place!

  • I went on the tour last year on my moms birthday. It was in February, and it was cold inside. I was the dumb one to wear a short sleeve shirt. I had a lot of fun though. I really want to go again.

  • i wanna take a flash light tour.

  • The tour is worth the money. In the summer it gets really hot and stuffy. I don't think it's all that easy to get lost, but the structure is really confusing. You would need a set of plans to find your own way around!

This video bings back memories...course, it was just a few days ago :).

  • I'd totally freak out if I was on tour and my light goes out.

  • i went on a tour their but i went on a flash light tour which means it was dark and we used flash lights

  • Was it cool? i`d like to take that tour myself.

  • Is It Haunted Or Something?

  • yes

  • why no guM???

  • They probably think ppl will spit it out on the floor or something.

  • Haha, I had this tour guide when I went.

  • when did you go?

  • Around the beginning of 2007. :) .

  • i went there last year and omg it's so cool! she was obbessed with the number 13 cuz in her 13th bathroom there was 13 windows! creepy huh? it was really cool and we walked for over a mile on the tour. it was so cool i would definately recommend it to tourists in the san jose area!

  • i want to go there so bad! i love haunted stories and mysteries! but i live in dallas, texas : (

  • im related to the winchester's ! :P

  • to go on this tour is expensive..i went to the winchestor house but not inside it was expensive.;( i wish i could go in there

  • the garden tour is for free

  • I did`nt see anything either the girl giving the tour said that she and some of the other ppl who work there don`t believe in them either.

  • so they allow video/photos inside?

  • Yeah, the tour guide at one point was telling one of the guest about how they felt about people bringing video cameras on the tour but i did`nt catch the whole conversation.

  • so theyd rather you not but dont do anything if you do?

  • I figured they feel if i show the vid to people it`s like they`re getting a free tour.

  • ive been there lol its kinda creepy but i didnt see any ghost cause its supposed to be haunted. IVE SEEN LIKE FIFTY ENCOUNTERS ION SHOWS WITH IT THOUGH

  • dude thats creepy

  • scarrryyyyy

  • I would love to buy that house... too bad it's like 5 million dollars in worth... DX

I've always wanted to live in a house that properly reflected my state of mind.

  • It's worth WAAAYYYYY more than 5 million! One of the Tiffany windows in that house is worth 10 million by itself!

  • im pretty sure it was valued at 5 billion not 5 million

  • No accually it was 20,000,000 bucks in that time and 20,000,000 dollors back then was about around uh 100,000,000

  • i went there two days ago and it was awesome. ^^ i love that place.

  • I went to the winchester mystery house a few years ago with my cousins. It was definitely a creepy place, but I didn't pick up anything that would make it seem like a "haunted house." Even when we visited Sarah Winchester's bedroom, the room where she died in her sleep.

I highly recommend going if you've never been there.

  • actually i saw a gohst ( no joke )

we were passing her bed room and this lady took a picture of the little room beside it and in the chair in her pic was the legs of someone, and she went back and there was nothing ( not even a doll ) i am sooooooooo freaked out!

  • Something similar like that happened when an employee saw a woman in one of the rooms sitting at a table wearing an old fashioned dress when they went back the woman was gone and nowhere to be found. Note: This happened during Halloween 1 year so you can draw your own conclusion.

  • lol today in lecture class, i had to pick a book, so i picked the one with the most interesting title, it talked about leyends and miths, well while reading it i found a section that talked of this house

  • thats cool

  • wheres the winchester house cause i wanna take the tour

  • It`s in San Jose California.

  • Yeah, they give you a flash light to light your way but i never got to do it yet.

  • I'm going on a flashlight tour with some friends for my 14th birthday. Were going to bring some EMF detectors and cameras--if we catch anything, we'll post it.

  • I heard that during Halloween, they let people go inside in the dark by yourselves! I love the house, it's so interesting, yet so eerily creepy... It's like history will repeat itself!

  • They don't let you go in alone, you go with a group of people and a tour guide. They also do it every Friday the 13th. I'm going there with some friends on Feb 13th on a flash light tour. Were going to bring some EMF detectors and cameras--if we catch anything, we'll post it

  • Thanks, i`d really like to see your vid even if you don`t catch anything.

  • Yeah, I'll post it even if we don't (I'm not expecting much)

  • Flash light tour, that's hat i'm planning to do...last time I went, my friend kept wondering off, when he was alone, he said he heard someone (a lady) whisper his name on the third floor in one of the hallways...

  • dude, thats creepy!

  • we had a fantastic time at the winchester mansion. this is a great video

  • Thanks for watching.

  • the first time i went there as a kid i ran out of the old place where you buy tickets (not there anymore) because i thought it was going to be scarey because i saw some pictures on the wall when they celebrated Halloween there and my brother had to run after me.

  • It would be fun to play hide and seek in there! :O

  • Yeah...I wonder how long it would take to find someone? LOL

  • Omg, my cousin went to this place and thought it would be fun to play hide ad seek, and she got lost for the entire 65 minutes!

I got so mad at her, the people that worked there spent 3 and a half hours trying to find her...stupid cousin.

  • we're going on a field trip there.

  • I live in San Jose. I have been there, and it creeps the heck out of me. I have been there 2x

  • ik everything about that place and want 2 go but i live in florida :(((((

  • omg i relly like to see that with my own eyes

  • LoL my name is Sarah Winchester! I've been there before, in San Jose... It's amazing!

  • Who knows you might be related!

  • did u see any things that were wierd>? lol if u dont be carful u open a dooru can fall m25 feet or somthing i heard

  • There are a lot of weird things in the house and you can fall if you open "the door to nowhere" but it`s blocked off behind glass.

  • i mean like a ghost?

  • no, i knew i would`nt see any ghost and i did`nt.

  • i did!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That house sounds fun! Its like a maze but if you take a wrong turn you would be lost for ever! hehe lol :)

  • yeahh i went here last week

  • lol make sure to stick with me because if u get lost ull probobly never be found..

  • ....true lol

  • ...kickass place to play hide-n-seek

  • haha made me laugh =]

  • That would be so cool

  • cool she was a bad archatect

  • not she had to keep building or the ghosts would kill her

  • I think she kept building for eternal life and since her family woked in the gun buisness she built it to keep the evil spirits out of the ppl that had been shot with her family's rifles... so yeah

  • thats....creepy...

  • i went there when i was a little kid, like 9 years old.

the only thing i remeber was it was freezing cold inside there..

  • This tour guide is annoying. She sounds way to robotic and boring. The house is interseting though.

  • Imagine giving that 65min tour a couple times a day, five days a week.

  • no kidding! In the summer you'd have to give it at an average, 5 times a day.

  • haha it's draining that's for sure

  • my cousins went there and said that it was just freaky and starteling and weird. not really that scary. hope that the woman will rest in peace. r.i.p.

  • your cousins are right.

  • So strange the wrath of Winchester.
