I hate how the Father is always portrayed as the bad guy. Alot of the time, its the Mother who is over-critical and its the father who tries to protect the children. Of course, the father, being a male, can't raise a hand to stop the Mother, or he will be seen as abusive. Its alot of responsibility to try to be the protector of your family when society won't allow you to take a stand without being seen as violent or abusive.
