The ONLY reason that people panicked over the Mercury Theater On the Air's radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds was because not all of the listeners started from the beginning of the show. They also made it sound like ti was actually happening by purposely disrupting their own broadcast to make it more "believable". Which was poor judgment one their part. That was also depicting a strategically planned attack. This is not likely to happen with a well thought out reveal of UFO truths.

I wonder what it would sound like if we applied these reactions to something we "know" exists. Like say, squirrels. We have found today, a creature with a fuzzy, puffy tail. Footage shows, what we will for now call a squirrel,the creature picking up what appears to be nuts and chewing them. "Squirrel's; Art they for real?"
Where did the argument "the public will panic" come from? Did any army repelling an invader ever stop their counterattack because "the public might panic?" Can anyone cite a historical example where panic caused society to stop functioning? I am deeply insulted as a citizen and a man that information is withheld so I won't get scaaared. Coping with fear is easy - ammo and a better scope. And, in this case, maybe a Greek-English parallel Bible, and a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.

well i heard about nibiru and such - but that's probably one of those doomsday things again - they could be warning us for the coming planet swerling passing our solarsystem and the climate warming also on mars it seems being part of this planet x intrusion but i'm not quiet following that 100%
Call ME crazy, but what if these are previous evolutions from this planet that gained high intelligence and had to leave into space to flee the planet becoming uninhabitable? The greys could be an evolution of rodent, and the reptilians are a reptilian evolution from the Jurassic period. Who knows? Maybe we were not the first ones to gain high intelligence on this planet.

Maybe on their world, there was no killer asteroid, or plague, or other environmental condition which caused mass-extinction, allowing saurian-forms to survive to evolve the technology to travel between the stars.
