The Corinthians used an Iphikratean style Hoplites, basicly in between Hoplites and Phalangites. More like how they are in Rome Total War, while the Hoplite formation is more like the ShieldWall in Barbarian Invasion.

Yes ok my friend Feylistan Spartans didnt only know how to die , they also knew how to fight . The Greek Phalanx formation was a solid shield wall almost unbreakable so with the right support of calarly could smash almost every army. Remember what the Carthagenians suffered by Dionesius the Syraccousian Tyrant :)

how is using calvalry and elephants a cowardly thing? what about hiding behind huge shields like the romans or behind a wall of spears like the greeks or macedonians? at least calvalry and elephants are brave enough to charge into enemy lines.

ACTUALLY the greeks, macedonians and romans did those things because it was tactical and if their not brave howcome when they fought battles they were always outnumbered 10 to 1 and most of the time won!

in real history, sparta, along with other greeks were allies with carthage during punic war. because they did not like romans exanding their borders. even some spartans fought along with carthageneans as mercenaries. however, if greeks vs carthage did happen, i bet carthage probably have won, because carthagenean army bases its strength in cavalry flanking attacks and direct charge with elephants. phalanxs don't stand a chance.

in reality sparta would have lost against Hannibal. Sparta's army was composed mostly of phalanxes and Hannibal was a master of flank attacks.
