  • Hi I have a hard lump on the middle left side of my neck, its really hard and it was about the size of a pea for a couple of months and i woke up this morning and it has doubled in size, could this be lymphoma?

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH.. this rlly helped me out.. i was fine 2 days ago but for some reason i got a canker sore and a day after that i got this strange bump in my neck. when i swallow it comes out more.. but im going to my doctor today and see if i can get some kind of antibiotic to help.. gahh it hurts so bad too. BUT THANK U SO MUCH.

  • i have lymph nodes in my right arm bit and right chest above my right nipple and also one little node in the right side of my neck that is kind of rubbery but small.

  • Thanks for this video! It seems to me that it's quite normal to feel lymph nodes around 0-2 cm everywhere in your body especially if you are in puberty and thin. I worried a lot when I felt them, got my blood checked and was diagnosed with EBV. This was quite weird, especially because I already had this disease a couple of years ago.

    Should I do more tests?

  • @skillsz0rs From experience, blood test don't detect most diseases, but they do bring up red flags for the doctor to look into.

  • Dr Bob, I went to the Doctors office a couple months back and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. At the time my lymphnodes were swollen and they have yet to go away. Should i be concerned? It has been worrying me for a while now.

  • @TheFryPupp: At age 15, swollen lymph nodes in the groin and neck are most likely secondary to mono or Epstein Barr Virus. I do think (very strongly) you should see a physician who can feel these enlarged lymph nodes and can get appropriate blood work that will take care of your fears.

    Good luck,

    Dr. Bob

  • @DrBobShow1 Dr Bob I've been reading alot since I notice a bb sized lymph node on the left side of my groin. It feels hard but it moves easily the one on my right side is sore too but not swollen at all. I just noticed it tonight but it's worrying me. I have no other symptoms that I am aware of. I'm a 25 year old OIF war vet but I'm not currently in the Army and have no health insurance. I have had my grandmother die from leukemia and I am sexually active. Should I wait and see how it turns out?

  • @ bob02able: Thanks for your question. It is very well written. A benign lymph node is usually smooth, rubbery, and slightly movable. A malignant or cancerous lymph node is usually hard and fixed and keeps enlarging. I think your doctor is correct. However, if this lymph node continues to give you concern, it can be very easily removed. Good luck. Dr. Bob.

  • @ Kyjo34: A lymph node that is enlarging always needs evaluation. Good luck. Dr. Bob.

  • i got a swollen gland in my neck ive had it about 3-4 weeks now but i can move it and it feels like it got a little smaller it hasnt gotten any bigger at all. i have hay and cat horse allergies but these go away in about a day or so. my eyes water a lot when i get them my mom says its a gland but i still get scared over it i can just barely feel it when i touch my finger on it. i heard if it was somthing bad youd get head aches .but i just got a concusin about two weeks ago. i dont feel week

  • My 5 year old son has had a swollen lymph node for 6 months and since he started school he is sick a lot and he acts fine but his lymph node on the right side of his neck doesn't seem to want to go away, it gets smaller but never goes away. I am thinking about calling a doctor as soon as his cold goes away so they don't say it just because he has a cold. What is causing his swollen lymph node in the first place and why will it not go away?

  • I have a swollen, about a size of 5-10mm, lymph node on the right size of my neck facing right shoulder to back like NW (north west) direction, in location, for the past 25 years. My Doc. says its benign cause its there for 25 years with the same size but i say it may be a cancer in Situ, not enlarging now, may grow later.

    Can it be that???
