How to upgrade to Dark_Alex's Custom 3.03 OE Firmware

hey man. i need a bit of help.i already have a CFW of 3.71 M33-2.i want to play both ISO and PSX games but i cannot with this custom firmware. can i just ask, will i be able to put 3.03 OEC Firmware, on top of my 3.71 M33-2.and run both PSX and ISO games on my psp with this new firmware

temporarily yes, when you have to install it. afterwards, you can delete the files off your memory stick

which folder does the upgrade go in on ur mem stick because i dont have a usb cable but i plug in my mem stick directly to my comp

This is kewl. Though you did miss the part about copying the EBOOTs. Nice tutorial. Am now on 3.03 OE-A, playing PS1 games atm.

But how come I can't seem to play any ISO's/CSO's? The PSP detects them but when I select the game there's a message that says "Unable to load game" or something.

Oh, right. I forgot to put a UMD in the slot. LOL.

lol if you go into recovery mode, there is an option to play ISO/CSOs without a UMD in, but error has a higher chance of occuring

ok i have updated to 3.03 OE-A ...i still have some files on the memory stick ...like in GAME150 folder(oeupdmaker%, oeupdmaker, 303oeflasher%, 303oeflasher) can i delete them ?? they're taking like 50 megabyte

yes, you can reformat your mem stick after updating.

The only thing missing is that you forgot to mention putting the 1.50 and 3.03 eboots in the oeoupdmaker folder. Other than that. Good tut :P.
