  • duane is smiling.

  • LOVE IT

  • It's amazing, I have never seen a band reload on fantastic guitarists like this. Hats off to all who have pitched in for a great band.

  • There will never be another Skydog, but the kid is amazing! Does he ever even miss a note? His tone sounded off the hook, and "Little Martha" at the end was a nice touch.

  • Hey great video! Derek's tone is awesome here whatever amp he is using (probably Fender Twin Reverb) sounds great. You can tell he likes the tone, how happy he looks. Warren has a great sound here also with the ES-335. Sorry if this is Greek to most of you but I am a Guitar Junkie!

  • @Guppy915 yeah his tone is so awesome- here and usually always- clear as a bell- glad u dig it

  • @Guppy915 i could be wrong but i think he's using paul reed smith amps that he designed w/ them for his allman stuff. when hes w/ his band he usually plays a 65 super reverb

  • @Guppy915 With the Allmans Derek uses PRS amps. I'm pretty sure he was one of the first to ever get them, and boy do they sound sweeeet

  • this is good but nothings better than the original duane and dickey solo.

  • @austinabernethy456 Sorry to burst your bubble man, and I know your comment is old but Duane did not play on Blue Sky. He was already dead by that point, unfortunately.

  • @knuckles362 Not trying to split hairs man, but Duane played Blue Sky on "Eat a Peach" and on numerous live recordings, i.e. 9.16.71. You can listen to the 9.16.71 recording on YouTube. Even though he passed away before Eat a Peach was released, they included tunes he had recorded with the band including a studio cut of Blue Sky and an epic live version of Mountain Jam.

  • @codyr222 Well I'll be damned. I knew he was on Mountain Jam, which rules, but I didnt know about Eat A Peach. Cool! Well, thanks for letting me know man. I feel like an ass now lol.

  • @knuckles362 Actually dude, Duane was definitely on the original Blue Sky recording from the eat a peach album. He solos first, then him and dickey harmonize and then dickey solos. I know for a fact. I've read an Allman Bros biography and a Duane Allman biography and I've listened to blue sky everyday for the past year.

  • @austinabernethy456 Yep, I fucked up. Sorry about that dude. For some reason, I got Eat a Peach and Brothers and Sisters confused. Thanks for not freaking out like some people do on here.

  • @knuckles362 It's all good dude. It was an honest mistake. Sorry if I seemed like an ass when I replied back. I wasn't trying to be. haha

  • @austinabernethy456 You weren't an ass at all. I was thanking you cause if you make a mistake on here most people will be "fuck you you fucking idiot" and blah blah blah. Have a good one, man.

  • THE BEST I HAVE EVER HEARD
