  • Fuck yeah, TMBG.

  • Just one question:

Are Famicom games compatible with this console?

  • @SaitoKojima NES: Yes

    Super NES: Yes

    Famicom: No

    Super Famicom: Yes

  • @CODMarioWarfare

Yeah... comment's a bit old. XD

I ended up getting one of these anyways and found out they are compatible with Famicom games as long as you have a converter of some sort.

  • your girl friend is hot

  • I confess, I admit, I'm impressed

  • I hear the sounds of Smash Bros. in the background!

  • You didn't mention how the sound on Batman goes out of audio sync when you play the game. I guess it's because you are at work for a game store. A lot of Nes games goes out of audio sync, even if a Beautiful Woman is playing them. :)

  • Retro Duo need componet cable

  • screw the games, i want her lmao

  • Russian women on the street **leefoxnow.info**

  • 1:14 PK thunder

  • PK Thunder! lmao

    Super Smash Bros is awesome.

    (Off topic o.o)

  • I hear super smash bros in the background, lol

  • i hear ness in the background saying "pk fire! pk thunder!"

  • Nice Jersey girl

  • @Oximofo better than those jersey shore bitchs

  • HA! TMBG! Rock On!!

  • does this store ALWAYS get those big new games early ? or will they not sell it to me?

  • this is where nostalgia critic and AVGN meet

    in the big fight thing

  • I can't get a single NES cartridge to work in the Retro Duo system. I've tried Metroid, Final Fantasy, and the Nintendo Triple Pack (Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, and World Class Track Meet).

  • I had that same prob with my Retro Duo, so i think the NES side of the console is broken.

  • Haha... I know her.

  • 3,2,1!

  • she looks better than Man-beast morgan webb.

  • PK Fire!

  • qouting paula?

  • no i just heard it in the background from someone playing brawl

  • How are you player that on the portable dvd player? Just curious because for me i can only put stuff from the dvd player to the tv

  • what about the dpad?

  • Are you serious? I got all my hopes up on getting some NES controllers because their plugs are shaped very similarly to the round half of a Retro Duo's (SNES) controller socket. I seriously thought that that's what the notch was for.

  • You can indeed use original SNES controllers with the Retro duo.

  • Um.

I'm not sure what you've been smoking but the Retro Duo does NOT work with NES Controllers or accessories.

The only controllers that fit in those ports are SNES controllers.

  • Ah- please excuse my last comment. I'm pretty sure that Super Famicom carts have a very similar shape to the SNES carts, those should work and are compatible on the Retro Duo. I think that the regular Famicom carts are way too small, they might not fit without some kind of adapter. But, about the actual system hardware, it's been updated. The version 1 of the Retro Duo was exactly the same, but there were a few types of carts that didn't run. The version 2, I don't recall any bad reports at all.

  • We're using a version 2 Retro Duo in the stress test. No clone system is 100% compatible with all NES/SNES games. The Retro Duo has a great compatibility list, but it's not perfect.

  • Ah... yes. I gotcha. I know that there's no clone system that is 100% compatible, I've just been lead to believe that the Retro Duo 2.0 is best. And, I think it is.

  • what company makes this system? and do they have a website?

  • Actually, the Retro Duo V 2.0 (I own one myself, from ebay) is fully compatible with ALMOST all Japanese/European game carts now. It's fully compatible with ALL US game carts!! Pretty much the only carts that don't work might be some that don't fit (Famicom/Super Famicom DO fit)! Beware, for the R.D. Version 2.0 looks exactly like the first one, but the box will mention that it is 2.0. Well, that's all I had to say.

  • What do u mean?

  • What the heck do Retro Duo(s) do??

  • Retro Duo(s) play 2(DUO) types of RETRO games including nes and snes games.

  • aperintly they have inhanced graphics and can play nes and snes games

  • my SNES just died so im gettin a retro duo!!!

  • Damn shes EXTREMELY hot.

  • will thise things work in england ?

  • These multi-game aftermarket systems will work in England (I have a US SNES) but you need a 240volt to 110volt step down transformer for them to run. They arent expensive, usually like £10

  • whare could i find one of thise ? i just baught earthbound on NTCS format and im looking to play it in england

  • that girl is gorgeous. she should be a friggin' model.

  • Yes. Yes she is. Lis is quantifiable proof that smart, awesome, beautiful girls like her can fall for goofy, nerdy gamers like myself. If you're a fan of her on-screen work check out my other videos she graces a few others as well.

Just keep reminding yourself that she's spoken for. ;)

  • Sorry man i like she's pulling out the cartridge. LOL!

  • ur luky to hav her (no offence to u)

  • Thankful every day that I wake up next to her.

  • It won't last.

  • 5 years together and going strong! I'll be sure to send you an invite to the wedding.

  • Nice! Are you guys planning on getting married soon?

  • Not that old as they have a Resistance poster in the video...

  • Yeah she is lovely

  • yes the retro duo is very cool but they need to make one for the dreamcast too that can play burned games too

  • They did.

It's called the Treamcast. Google it.

  • Is the retro duo a good buy? What are the down sides? Please reply.

  • i havnt seen any downsides, but i dont own one

  • I just got one and its awesome.

  • i gotta get it the duo and the treamcast

  • She's is so hot, I may have to use Hoodoo spell to make her want me.

  • yeah they might be giants!!!

  • When i plug in my copy of SMB into my blue/white unit the screen can either be black, white, tan, light green, or bright green. Ive cleaned the cartridge and tried all sorts of positions, nothing.

  • where is this place in N.J??? this is a video game store right????

  • That chick is hot.

  • IKNOWRIIIIIIIGHT??

  • Right. Thanks for the instantaneous reply.

    :)

  • Do they make a console similar to this that plays all versions of Atari games?

  • Linnell is admittedly impressed with the Retro Duo. I think it's pretty cool, too.

  • wow, i was suprised when i heard they might be giants right away in this video

  • Dongle, lol.

  • I live near here best place for retro games. even a fucken large verioty of Atari games

  • Where would that be?!

  • I Live in Hackensack so its 20 mins away its right near lolas tatoo if you look that up, you well get the street name of were this is.

  • In Australia we have Gametraders. I got about 17 Atari 2600 games, 28 NES games and 12 Megadrive games.

  • I heard they are making an adapter to be able to use nes conrollers and the light gun on retro duo can someone pease tell me when it comes or as soon as it comes

  • somebodys playing ssbb

  • at 1:09 I heard a lucas PK fire

  • yeah lol!!!

  • hayyy lisette is a looker huh?

  • Has anyone tested Double Dragon (NES) with this? I have a copy but only get a gray screen... I want to know if my cartridge is defective or what... thanks.

  • DOUBLE DRAGON WORKS YES

  • I can confirm, though it only works 1 out of every 20 tries... but I figured out that if I plug in the game genie, it works every time!

    Other games confirmed working:

    NES:

Double Dragon II, Donkey Kong Classics, Gyromite, SMB/Duck Hunt.

    SNES:

Final Fight 3, Super Mario All Stars+World, Combatribes, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time

    Super Famicom:

    Return of Double Dragon

  • There's a Dreamcast in there!!! awesome!!...nice video, and the girl is very pretty!

  • Can you see if SMB2 works? I have an FC twin and it doesn't work.

  • Does anyone know what voltage this this needs? Would I need a step down converter to play it in the uk?

  • great review, i have a retro duo here, but most nes games didnt sound good...did you tried SMB3?? how did it sounded?

    thx

  • You can't use a light gun since it uses Snes

controller ports, not unless the konami justafier

can be used with the NES game. Also does the work

    with the NES GameGenie?

  • She is much prettier than Morgan Webb!

  • she's pretty, but just like most pretty girls she doesn't know how to play video games :(

  • LOL, I'd bet she could kick your butt in DOA4 or SSBB any day of the week and you'd never even see it coming.

  • @Chewieshmoo agreed

  • @Chewieshmoo agreed

  • Bayou Billy uses the light gun. How's that compatible?

  • The light gun is an OPTIONAL controller in Bayou Billy. Both players can use control pads on the rail shooter levels to move a target reticule like in Operation Wolf. And that my friend, is how it's compatible!

  • Gotcha. Have only ever played through it once, I used the Zapper, thought it was mandatory. Thanks.

  • Only if it played Terranigma...

    sniff...

  • Amen

nevermind NES capability, that seems pretty fine, lets try one of these tests to find out how much PAL this thing can actually support
