  • o god loving it's a dangerous time we live in- Revolution for the oncoming of the new century- Ron Paul 2012- Humanitarian of our times-

  • If you are an American how can you not vote for Congressman Paul?

  • He is not Jewish... so won't gain.

The US is jews spit backyard...

  • Ron Paul's time is now; 2012 & Beyond!!

ALL FOR PAUL, AND PAUL FOR ALL!

  • Yeah, lets look at labor before we had any labor laws dumb fuck. Lets look at the economy then too, retard.

The plain fact is, you stupid fuck, that labor laws helped the RICH as much as they helped the worker, the rich explanded greatly, because workers had money to buy shit moron. Not a hard thing to understand, even for your dumb ass.

Labor laws are political you stupid shit, no King is up there announcing them. Get elected retard, or vote for someone you want. That is how it's done.

  • Ron Paul FTW (FOR THE WIN)

  • Oak -- you are right. I think Pauls intentions are good. I would like to see him in the Senate, lecturing the senate. He hardly gets a chance in the house. He should take the place of those slime bucked GOP senators in Texas.

  • Ron Paul isnt a racist himself. He is a sincere sweet man. But his idea of strict construction has been used throughout history to excuse slavery, child labor, no labor rights. For example, for 60 years "strict construction" was the big excuse to deny very popular labor laws. Only when "strict construction" was overcome to an extent, could we have any labor rights, safety laws, and other things that made our lives much better.

  • I don't believe Ron Paul, if elected would allow any of that to happen again. Everyone is so quick to say all the bad things that could happen if he were elected president but no one will say anything about any of the other candidates. Face it, Ron Paul is our only chance to get this country back to where it should be.

  • back to where it should be? Back to no labor rights? Thats what "strict construction" means -- cause that would make all labor laws and safety laws void, you moron. Learn what the hell strict construction is about. No, you idiot, Paul wouldnt "do it" but thats what happens with strict construction

  • Ron Paul knows the constitution and uses it as a guide, he also knows what the American people want and need, unlike the other candidates running. If we went back to the using the constitution, new labor laws, safety laws and whatever else you want to throw in there, can be made. I think America would benefit more from a fresh start than more of the same.

By the way, there was no need to call me a moron and an idiot.

  • HEy goofball -- the american public wanted and needed labor laws -- from 1850-1939, you moron. ANd strict construction blocked very popular laws you idiot. Learn some history. Time after time american public -- at state and fed level -- passed labor laws. Safety laws. Time after time scum "strict constructionist" knocked them down on USSC. Learn some history you blooming idiots.

  • hahaha, you sir, are the one who is ignorant! and your name calling, while it makes you feel better about yourself because of some underlying insecurities, is actually helping this revolution by proving to everyone who reads it, that you yourself, are an ignorant moron. thanks for your help! peace, love, and Ron Paul in 08!

  • What revolution? Ron Pro Slave Paul -- the three percent man?

Actually Ron Paul wouldn't be too bad in the senate. At least he is honest. No chance of him getting slavery going again, and he is against printing endless money backed by nothing, and he is against excessive spending.

  • @MarkDouglasC Actually Milton Friedman made a very good case that some labor laws served to harm the working people, not help them. There are many clips of him on YouTube. Please consider watching a few, it may give you a new perspective on this issue.

  • @studentofsmith Im well aware som labor laws do various things, and that despite good intentions, MANY things have unitended consequences.

Seat belts, for example, have actually killed some people. But they saved far more lives than they cost.. Do we get rid of seat belts, and just sue the car company from deaths in accidents?

Many medicines have killed people -- but most have saved more lives than they cost. Do we get rid of medicine?

We need some regulations, learn history.

  • @MarkDouglasC So your contention is that labor laws, on average, do more good than harm. That is certainly open to debate but I would suggest each specific regulation be taken individually and on it's own merits, at least until an identifiable pattern emerges, rather than as a whole.

That being said your insinuation that I am ignorant of history simply because I disagree with you is unwarranted. In all likelihood I am aware of the same basic facts you are but interpret them differently.

  • @studentofsmith what the hell are you talking about? Im against labor laws????

No, not at all. In fact, I compared them to seat belt laws. Those laws have saved tens of thousands of lives, if not hundreds of thousands. But some people LOST their lives using seat belts, that might have survived, in certain cases.

No law creates ONLY great consequences, but we need safety laws, labor laws, pollution laws, highway laws, zoning laws. Its amazing I have to even explain this.

  • @MarkDouglasC Please read my comment again. You believe the positive effects of labor laws outweigh the negative ones and thus are in favor of them, correct?

Well, I believe the negative effects of labor laws outweigh the positive effects and am therefore opposed to them.

Again I suggest that the only way to settle this would be to examine each individual law carefully and decide, on a case-by-case basis, if the aggregate effect of the law is positive or negative.
