I think you got one thing wrong, Didn't Voyager II run out of the fuel cells powering the radio some tim eago? So we are only in contact with Voyager I.
@tacticalreaper No you gullable retrad, If planet X were going to hit this year, It would be nearly as big as the moon in the sky, The whole "Planet X" theory evolved on an internet Forum in 2003. NOTHING will happen in December 2012.
Hi Kurt, if you see this could you do a more detailed video of voyagers 1 and 2 and if there's an add on for them, pioneers 10 and 11? Love the videos by the way!
Space is cool, i saw the space station pass over ratby village in Leicester not too long ago :D, well i think i did some guy told us but he looked homeless
I've used celestia since 2004 - mainly with a sci-fi writing group on the internet. When I showed it to the astronomer that runs the planetarium at my university he said "You know, this thing just kicked my career in the crotch, right?"
I always thought that when a nebula appears the star is a black dwarf rather than white. first red giant then white dwarf then nebula and black dwarf? Im probably wrong tho.
@KarstenOkk Do white dwarfs create nebula when they stop giving light? I think most nebulae are created after a supernova or hypernova.
When the red giant shrinks into a white dwarf, it will shed its outer 'skins' off into space. Not sure if it will create any significant gas to make a nebula though.
@LazyBoy159741 No correct answer to that question, due to the fact that it'll take at least another 9 billion years before the first White Dwarfs will be completely dark. Nebula are created by super/hyper giants but also by normal stars, what you mean are actual nova's, which do create nebula's, but the Ring Nebula (at the start) is a planetary nebula, created by a dying star with a 'normally' sized mass (between 0.08-6 solarmasses).
lol, only you would "Let's Play" Celestia. I've had this for years and years and years, but I haven't used it in quite a while. Thanks for the update.
Last time I watched you play this, I downloaded it myself and had a look around. After noticing rays of light coming in the window, I discovered that it was some 6 hours later. Would've been OK had it not been a school day...
This is actually pretty interesting, i might take a look at this , and you are obviously picking up quite a audience with this so people seem itnerested XD might do a video on this :)
@Lostworld711 Some can be complicated and involve editing config files, where as others are as simple as copy/pasting the add-on to the "Extras" folder in the Celestia installation. Check out each add-on's ReadMe file or forum posts to make sure.
Kurt, I don't know if you've heard this or not, but NASA is winding down. Meaning by 2015, chances are there isn't going to be a NASA. The US is too busy funding their corporate war machine to open their eyes to what's greater than us. The US will still have a space program, but it'll be in the private sector funded by the American people.
Maybe its the narrating of Kurt, or maybe its just my urge to learn something new and exciting, but although astronomy never usually catch my interest, this video actually had me glued to the screen.
2015? I thought they'd get there this july.... Is this video from 2014, but you went back in time 3 years and posted this?

Why didn't we just send Dawn straight to Vesta instead of orbiting around other planets?
xDeMiiZeXx 9 months ago
@xDeMiiZeXx that is called gravitational boost if im correct
the gravity from the planets affect the speed of the craft, and makes it go faster.
if they've sent it straight to Vesta it would take more time because our technology, in related to space travel kinda sucks ^^"
