Hey Masta Hanksta, thats some sick scratching bro! Did you produce the beat yourself? If so, what are the chances of getting a download? Also, a tutorial on how you transform/twiddle/crab out those notes and record movement would be great!! Hope to see one soon!
@julioboostamante1 yes it possible. I have vmware running on my Windows 7 box. I loaded Mac OS 10 on the virtual machine so I can run Mac programs. You can do vice versa! I didn't wan to buy a Mac so I just put Mac on my window box! Enjoy!
Fuck Homie!!!! I've been scratching for years and was thinking about getting this so I can make short films for my students during lessons to make them more interesting. You just convinced me. Much Love Pomona, Ca.
Alright so i have the numark mixtrack....great but i want a turntable to crab scratch to i was looking at vinal but its alot of money shouldi save up for vinal or get this little machine? will it scratch like viynal?
@pikkparis to get your vestax to scratch you need to have it in scratch mode. right now you're in forward mode, meaning the button next to the headphones button (for pre-cueing) is lit up. In order to scratch you need to turn that button off
@djscratchdog hey i like ur video and i have a question. im a beginner disk jockey and im gonna dj alot of house party but sometimes im gonna scratch just like what u just did.. i really cant decied.. what should i get? vertax typhoon or numark mixmaster pro? or maybe another suggestion?
great vid! I have the same question as "gualiamo" - how do you get the scratching too sound like that? can you please do an tutorial? I have the vestax spin and i have no idea how to get this to sound like that! Please give an tutorial with example sounds and detailed instructions! Would be much appreciated! Thanks! Greetings from austria!
@djscratchdog So is it not as clear, as in "real" hearing?
The way you recorded it sounds freaking SICK. But i hope it sounds like that in real life.
I'm thinking about buying this Vestax Spin. I've been watching all your videos! You've inspired me so much! Is there any way you can hook me up with the mp3 file, that you use to scratch? (the same files you used to scratch in the video) . I just need to practice, and have fun with it... in order to become my own bedroom DJ.
@Frankycent1 Basically the same thing, except spin is more for mac... I have a mac, but i am looking more towards toward typhoon because traktor is also compatible with mac :)
djscratchdog, how do you get the scratching too sound like that? when i try it just sounds real digital..can you scratch like that on any song? or do you need a scratch sample??
i love the scratching. but in my opinion, the Mixtrack Pro controller beats the hell out of this typhoon. you probly heard of it buy now? its the one tht every1 is buying. tht mixtrack is great for scratching, either the same as this or better.
I have this and the scratching doesn't sound like this. But when i use my friends it does. I'm confused but, now that I'm getting more gigs i'm gonna move to the VCI-100 or VCI-300. Would you recommend that?
hey masta Hanksta just wondering wats the name of the track that your scratching towards iv tryed looking for it but no luck Thanks mate and ur awsome aye
@djscratchdog Hey I saw your test on the ventax spin. BTW you are really good at DJing. I am hoping to get started in all the DJ businessmen. I understand that the Ventax Typhoon is the same thing as the Ventax Spin. Do you recommend the Ventax Typhoon over the Numark Mixtrack Pro? Please help me with this.
@djscratchdog How have the vestax held up so far after all of that intense scratching.. Im looking to get a controller, im just beginning but I saw the typhoon and was considering.. I mainly want to scratch and just make personal mixes.. Do you think this is a good setup.
looks sweet im lookin in to getting the spin, but all ive heared from people is that its good for smaller gigs. how do you think it holds up for its price?
i was thinking about getting a vci-300 but came across this controller and now i'm interested. i spin on turntables and use torq but i want to get something that is smaller and portable for house parties and stuff like that. how does this hold up against the vci-300? the price is really attractive
@djscratchdog thanks for the quick response. how is the latency on the software compared to serato itch? i'm actually a PC user so i'm looking into the windows version of this unit (the typhoon).
i really wish i could just get my hands on both units and try them out myself.
@djscratchdog Aren't the jog wheels touch sensitive? How can u still scratch with the sticker on top of the jog wheels? Can u do the same to the vci100 and 300 jog wheels?
Crazy scratching on the Spin man!! The Spin is working great for me. I use it for smaller parties and graduation parties. Basically anywhere I don't want to take my Technics, which I save for the clubs and bars. Would anyone on here know how to get the Spin mapped to Traktor?
now that u've had the Spin for awhile now,how is holding up to all ur tests and abuse? In ur opinion is it a decent machine to have to play with at a gig or just at home?..thanks bro

cool. that's really good. it's just so odd to watch digital scratching because with vinyl, you're used to seeing the whole record and u watch it to return to spinning. The jog wheel only moves where u put it. good stuff though. i dig

Hi.
The video is awesome !
I would like to buy this machine. But i have some questions.
1, The EQ sliders. Aren't turnable knobs better then sliders ? Dont you miss frequency kill function ?
2, There are no FX buttons on this. Are there ? Don't you miss it ?
3, How are the jogs, body and crossfaders ?
4, Are'nt corssfaders too tought ? Are the easily to move ?
I am affraid that crossfaders will worn off, by using at hiphop ane moveing so fast as you..
Is the material good ? No shitty plastics ?
