MSNBC is definately bias to the left and CNN has some hosts that are bias to the left, namely Rick Sanchez, but the rest of stations are pretty fair (NBC, ABC, and CBS). Personally, I trust NPR, PBS, and the BBC more than I do any of the commercial news agencies. NPR, PBS, and BBC tend to be a bit dry, but they are the most objective, fair news sources I know.
I said that I don't watch HLN that often. I do watch Fox sometimes though, so I can see what crazy shit Beck is doing this week.

How many people do you think actually pay attention to the supplemental military funding hearings? Not many. They did it that way so it wouldn't have to be in the budget, which a great deal more people pay attention to.
And yes, they did get their first supplemental military spending bill, but there is a big difference between that and paying for the whole war that way so that the number on the budget proposal will be smaller.

MSNBC is definately bias to the left and CNN has some hosts that are bias to the left, namely Rick Sanchez, but the rest of stations are pretty fair (NBC, ABC, and CBS). Personally, I trust NPR, PBS, and the BBC more than I do any of the commercial news agencies. NPR, PBS, and BBC tend to be a bit dry, but they are the most objective, fair news sources I know.
I said that I don't watch HLN that often. I do watch Fox sometimes though, so I can see what crazy shit Beck is doing this week.

I'm from Detroit and live near that casino. No. Detroit has much bigger problems and areas where that money could much much better be spent. The casinos were red lighted with the idea that they would revitalize the city, and they did renovate and clean up the buildings that they use. But it is the same old story in the city. All of the money is spent on corporate properties and the neighborhoods are ignored. Ergo continued pop. loss and its taxpayer base.

Actually Bush spent more money than the Bailout bill that was totalled around 737 billion dollars. One trillion dollars a year for eight years. The basic operating and training expenses, the ones we pay whether we are at war or not, were in the Bush budgets, but the war expenses were not. They had to keep coming back to the Congress and asking for more "supplementary" spending approvals. The most famous of which was the one they asked for to pay for the new v-hulled vehicles. Remember that one? That was how all of the war spending had to be passes because it wasn't in the budget.

How many people do you think actually pay attention to the supplemental military funding hearings? Not many. They did it that way so it wouldn't have to be in the budget, which a great deal more people pay attention to.
And yes, they did get their first supplemental military spending bill, but there is a big difference between that and paying for the whole war that way so that the number on the budget proposal will be smaller.

There is a big difference between how government does work and how it should work and the him keeping it out of the budget so that no one knows how much the war costs each year until the end of the year instead of allocating funds all at once at the beginning of the year is one of those situations.

If he didn't present solid evidence then it should be easy to disprove his claim. He didn't ask you to respond to his comment, so since you did it is your responsibility to support your descent, but you didn't do that, instead you made a personal insult towards him.
