Yes there are divisions in the ummah..but the actions to belittle them is causing a further polarisation..they are ignorant and stubborn with their bidahs and some of them with their notion of hazir nazir. Asking the dead for help..etc etc.. You see these issues need to be erased by patience and beautiful preaching..not abusing them...Look at the first 13 years of the prophet saws and the patience they had to endure against the mushiks. Its all about quran and sunnah and how the salaf took it.
The first, the Prophet (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and his Sahaabah (companions). The second, the Taabi'een (the followers of the companions). The third, the Tabaa'at-Taabi'een (the followers of the followers of the companions).
Generally, this term refers to all those pious predecessors who followed the way of the Salaf and who have preceded us in time. This is the true manhaj of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jamaa'ah.
@az101. you are right, however what i am saying is that most barelvis are not educated and their intentions are honourable, same with tablighis and deobandhis. Also they have some people brainwashing them against so called wahhabiism. The differences that exist among us groups are trivial, they can be overcome by talking, doing islah, being wise, reasoning, logic etc..not hating them, because theres always a minority of bad people in every group and a fringe fanatic element that polarise.
like with all groups and sects my brother, there are uneducated people to whom if you were to ask a defifintion of shirk, they wouldnt be able to. they would simply reply back..shirk is assosiating patrners with Allah (swt). Although this is correct, an educated brother would explain thoroughly the definition of shirk with references to the Quraan and Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) .
The difference is not triveal at all, it is a very huge thing when you deny the names and attributes of Allah, this is part of tawheed, which is the part of iman
@solidsaif..you foolish individual they do not deny the names of Allah..alot of them believe that the prophet saws by Allahs permission is hazar nazar when Allah wants which is of course not true, also they wrongly interpret some verses t believe others can intercede, again wrong,. Please do not listen to those scholars of yours that are narrow minded, hateful and who exaggerate. Yasir Qadhi said the differences are trivial. All it takes is discussion and education not emotionally fuelled hate.
Let me ask you some questions, you ill mannered ignorant runt, just so you understand the entire thing I was saying
where is Allah? Does he have a face? does he have hands?
The brelvis say to the first that Allah is everywhere which is baseless, he is above the heavens on his throne, the Deobandis say he is without direction, and the rest all of them deny except the salafis, even though Allah describes himself with a face and hands.
@solidsaif...You made a foolish statement (they deny the names of Allah).. so i called you a fool..simple..you are ill mannered, swearing, and calling me a runt.. all it is is that they are looking at the same thing from a different angle, Allah is everywhere yes, he is all seeing and all hearing, but not physically. Allah does have the function of hand and eyes and fingers but they do not ponder over it because our small minds can only visualise human features. You fascist neo salafi!
Indeed I made a mistake saying that they deny the names however they do deny the attributes which is a big deal.
Allah is not everywhere, he is above the heavens, the salaf never said he's everywhere, as for saying "not physically" we neither affirm this nor deny this for the salaf never commented on this. As for being a fascist neo salafi...it's curious i've only been called a neo salafi by takfeeri kharijees, do you support OBL, alqaida etc...?
@solidsaif..akhi..try and keep it simple..when they say Allah is everywhere..it has truth in it as Allah is all seeing and all hearing and is closer to you than your own adams apple. The Hadith about the slave girl stating Allah "physically" being above the sky, and the prophet saws saying she has indeed believed is clear.. im a muslim.. simple.. i do not support al qaida or OBL who ever they are nor do i support some of these intolerant salafis but i am a fan of peace tv and all scholars on it.
@immyovuk here is a beneficial video which is about the names and attributes of Allah, if you have doubts you can check it in the qu'ran and sunnah, anyways check it out it will help in showing you the divisions in the aqidah of this ummah
The manhaj (methodology) of the Salaf is to adhere to the Qur'aan and the authentic Sunnah as understood by the Salaf as-Saalih. The word Salaf is a shortened version of the word 'Salaf as-Saalih', which means the 'Righteous Predecessors'
It refers specifically to the first three generations of Islaam in which the Prophet Muhammad (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) described as being the best generations of Muslims.
We are all one. Ahlul sunnah wal jamaah, the differences among us are so trivial that they should not divide us at all. Its satan dividing us. Salafis, barelvis, deobndhis, tablighis are all one.
"Every" innovation is misguidance? Qualify the statement every please. Just making an assertion doesn't make that assertion true. To reduce Brelvi ideology (though i'm not one) to grave worship is just ignorance and indocrination. It's similar to what those aposed to salafism say that they (the salafis) anthropomorphize God. As though he's a huge man. Just as this is incorrect, what you're saying is.
Every innovation in the religion. Such that if somebody tries to add, subtract or change something in Islam, this is misguidance.
The reason for this is that if you support innovation in Islam, you are implying Muhammad sallalahu alayhi wassalam did convey the whole message or he made a mistake, but in the Quran it says, today I have perfected your religion (something along those lines).
Brelvi ideology is full of innovations, whilst salafi means to follow the salaf, first 3 generati
I'm neither brelvi or salafi. I'm Muslim - Ahl us Sunnaah. Every innovation? Then please stop giving me naseeha over youtube. The fact is not every innovation is disregarded. Now you're going to quantify what you mean by "every innovation"
