  • great video and very informative!! convinced me to pick up my 10/22 =) I've only ran about 150 rounds through it so far but I love it!

  • Thanks Nutn for such a good review! I am looking to buy my first rifle EVER and I have to say, you have sold me on the Rugger 10/22. My girlfriend's father has one and Between your reviews and his edging me towards getting the 10/22, I have decided I am ready to go pick myself up a 10/22

  • 09:50 man-licker trololol

  • 19 people are obviously Liberals

  • @xgenturbo I'm a liberal and I love guns. In fact I'm rewatching this because I'm going to buy a 10/22 today! Most of the people that hate on nutn seem to be people that are pro-gun but don't like his presentation style (talks a long time, lots of "fluff" for people who only want technical details and not philosophy) and think he comes off pretentious.

  • @JustaBitofBravado Sorry for seeming bitter but you must understand that here in Canada the liberals want to ban everything, Its the reason I cannot own "scary looking" firearms such as a semi auto .22LR AK47.

They also want to cut back the national defense budget...this happens to be where I work.

I personally enjoy the Presentation style of Nutnfancy and wish he continues the lessons. I learned a lot from him.

  • Not true nutnfancy has 5.9 million of them.

  • @nutnfancy

This is the "EPIC" 10/22 review and history video, thank you for the time spent!

Now, I have a question and need a simple answer from your knowledge base.

Out of all the 10/22 to .22 Magnum conversion barrels, which stand out as your performer with regard to price and which is the utmost in quality with zero regard to price.

Thanks for your time and look, you just scored a new subscriber!

  • What optics do you have on the tan 10/22 at around 19:00?

  • choad industries lol 22:08

  • Nutnfacy plzzzzzzzzzz do crossbows i need something good besides a gun plz just make crossbow reviews i that would be so awesome! And plz respond XD

  • I wonder how the hell did Mrs Nutnfancy know wtf is a TG2000 match trigger :P

  • Hey nutn, what kind of weight difference do you get with your stock 1022 and one with a hogue stock?

  • I am buying a ruger 10/22 in two days. I want to know would it hurt the barrel if i just shot like 50 or so rounds through it then clean it when im through instead of breaking it in using the shoot like 5 rounds and clean then do it again. or is there anohter easier way i can do it.

  • @killer4life1000 You want to clean it before you shoot it at all. I remember when I cleaned it strait out of the box I found a zip tie in the barrel and a TON of crud from the stuff they use to ship it. Hope this helped.

  • @StagGaming It did THANKS ALOT.!!

  • @killer4life1000 No Problem :)

  • Well then wat do u think about the hogue stock?

  • hey nutn'. you may not remember but i changed my username from dfullerton8 to the one i have now,but a while back i asked you what kind of 22 i should get and i finaly got one!! can you guess which kind?

  • I'd like to thank you for creating an hour long tutorial for the 10/22. I have to re-run through them because I got interupted a few times but I enjoyed seeing your enthusiasm for the rifle. I'm thinking of buying my 1st rifle ever at 40 years old and the 10/22 is what I'm looking at. I came here to while researching peoples opinions. I'm not sure if I want a Carbine or a Tactical or a Compact so some of your comments helped illustrate the differences.

  • I love the fact that you spent an hour telling us about one rifle. Its just that good, really. I love 10/22s

  • What kind of groups is everyone getting? I'm considering a 10/22 sporter with a Nikon 4x32 scope...

  • another great video, thank you

  • I can just see 9 year old Nutn looking into his friends backpack and start talking about size and weight constraint LOL

  • so maybe an olive drab would be more practical.... @nutnfancy just wanted to say thanks for the detailed review....

  • Hey, just bought my first 10/22 yesterday. I'd been wantn one for a while now and finally got it on an impulse. I bought my 10/22 b/c i new they reliable and easy to customize. This vid was very helpful to me, I know a little about guns, but i've never considered going with any after market parts or stocks, Just hearing some one who has this kind of experience with so many setup variation say what works well and what doesn't is very helpful. I really like Dura-Coat, I live in the Mtns of KY

  • The 10/22 as a tactical or defense weapon is looking more and more viable as ammo prices SOAR!! Why buy a $400-500 tactical .22 from Sig or S@W when you can own a ROCK SOLID shooter like this for $200-300? Perfect for women and kids as a trainer and still LETHAL in the hands of a marksman. The 10/22 is the reliable, accurate, affordable rifle waiting for you to come to your senses and stop flirting with those expensive AR knockoffs.

  • Right when you think the picture full of guns is a still shot... SHAPOW! There comes Nutn's hand lol

  • how do you order from talo?

  • need some help i have owned 3 ruger 10-22's. all of them have not worked failure to feeds and extract, stovepipes the hole 9 yards. cannot get a full mag through any of my rugers with cci mini mags and factory mags NEED HELP

  • @mississippigunner Are you using the factory Ruger mag or interchanging aftermarket mags?

  • AMERICA!

  • everyone loves those Tapco stocks, I wish they would make them for everything, I love my Tapco Mini-14

  • I was at the store today and the man handed me a 10/22 with the bolt back and I too had no idea about the bolt lock mechanism above the trigger guard haha.

  • GREAT SERIES!! I am female and new to rifle shooting. Where do I get a threaded barrel and an affordable scope from? What do you recommend? All the bells and whistles don't matter. I just want something reliable and durable for SHTF. Thanks. :-)

  • when you are talking about the front sight post aka the brass bead can you take off the front and rear sight post

  • Every man's gun that won't break the bank. Great review man.

  • god the .22 is such a cheap fun gun to use....

  • Just picked up a Talo edition 10/22 which came equiped with an ATI folding stock. Really a nice stock.

Was gonna a stock gun and modify but then I have a stock that will never be used. This was easier.

  • Just picked up a Talo edition 10/22 which came equiped with an ATI folding stock. Really a nice stock.

  • rule #1: do not break and enter into this man's home

  • No love for the Archangel 556 stock? It's the perfect run n' gun stock for a 10/22 IMO.

  • It's a hoot of a rifle, cheap to shoot and easy and inexpensice to make mod's that make a huge improvements to performance. Sure you can turn it into a $2K project BUT why? A good 4X scope does the job well.

  • I have that same stock Black Warrior. cool stock but a bit heavy,

  • Wow i like the 10-22. From Canada it the best we can buy in the north!

    Love your review!

  • You know, I'm torn. I am a first time gun buyer and I can't decide between a Ruger 77/22 bolt action or a Ruger 10/22 bolt action (if there is one. Could you guys give me any suggestions? Preferably someone who has shot both. I'm looking for accuracy and the most fun to shoot, plus most customizable of the two. Thanks!

  • im going to your house when the zombie apocalypse starts.

  • MARLIN Model 795 is better then the 10/22... I GUARANTEED... Its more accurate and more reliable

  • I just got my first 10/22 with 3x9x40 scope, shoots great.

    Already my favorite!

  • Mannlicher style, or as I like to call it, the No. 1 Mark III Lee-enfield stock style.

  • what kind of scopes are those at 3:30 please

  • @flaopium138 red dots maybe my best guess i dont the make

  • Personally the 10/22 is my least favorite .22 that I own. It pales in comparison to my Henry lever action .22 in the accuracy department. I hate the rotary magazine set-up, it is clumsy to get out and reload. By the time you spend all the money making it look like an AR platform you could just have gone out and bought an AR 15 .22 variant for the same money that function just like an AR. So for me the 10/22 is antiquated. In this day and age, your just better off keeping it they way it is.

  • Probably my favorite gun in the arsenal.

The Ruger 10 22 is the most fun rifle to shoot, rarely jams, and the best thing about it...

If you get bored with it, there are THOUSANDS of aftermarket parts to choose from!

  • Im tradin in my Marlin 795 for a 10/22. Love my 795 to death, but im a 16 year old with no job haha. Only afford to keep one and im chosin the 10/22 :D im so excited for it :D

  • sorry not "factory stock" factory mags

  • HELP. I have owned 3 ruger 10 22 and sent them back to ruger. with cci mini mags and only the factory stock i, out of all three, have got none to function even 20% reliable. all three of mine i would get 3 to 4 jams out of every mag. i own plenty of guns and do a little gunsmithing so i am not a fool but everyone tells me to put this and that to make it shoot better but i feel it should shoot great out of box. can anyone give me any solid advice why my rugers aren't functioning

  • @mississippigunner have you tried checking your springs to see if there worn or have you tried a decent selection of rounds. i have good luck with cci mini mags hollow points, but that doesn't necessary mean that you will to. also, a lot of guns are supposed to be broken in in a certain manner. i'm not sure if the 10/22 also has to be broken in as-well but if u have multiple of them going bad, then that's something maybe worth looking into.

  • what trigger do you recomend for more rappid fire

  • @mrghillie100 get the Volquartsen trigger with the over travel screw. Your saving alot of rear trigger movement by adjusting the overtravel thus allowing you to shoot faster.

  • Good vid.

  • Why are rating dissabled?

  • I enjoy these.

  • Hey im about to get my first 10/22 and i want to customize. have any suggestions? i dont really want to spend a lot of money but i just want to make it really accurate and look really cool. thanks. nice vids!

  • 68mil views why arent you a partner?

  • @Luger718A1 he is now, look at the date bro, he wasnt then

  • @FutureFederalAgent didnt know youtube didnt update the old videos banner thingy

  • Did those sling attachments come with the stock, or are they aftermarket?

  • the ruger 10/22 carbine costs $277 now witch angers me

  • @gunlessbayonet like 180$ at walmart lol

  • why does every one use this song lol

  • I'm pretty new to firearms, but I LOVE your videos so please forgive me if I am ignorant when it comes to this, but why do your 10/22's sound so quiet? Are you shooting shorts or longs? If you could let me know I would appreciate it! (PS - Your videos got me to buy a Glock 19 and I LOVE IT. THANKS!)

  • what are you wearing that picture 1:10

  • Nutn, I recently bought a 10/22 that has peep sites on it. I've really found I need a scope to hunt whistle pigs here in Idaho. You said in your video that you had a Beeman scope on yours. Any new suggestions? Accuracy wasn't much of a problem, I just couldn't see the little varmints heads poking out without help.

  • @Keveramma look in his play lists. he has a few scope reviews ;)

  • Ruger has sold over 6 million 10/22's and nutnfancy owns 5.5 million of them.

  • @Steenberge LMAO!! -- Veri

  • I would thumb up the vid if you let me. thumbs up this comment if you would too

  • my lady has the tactical solutions barrel in hot pink/black houge stock. haha nice gun. was actually tryin to find a decent hi-cap mag. had an adjustable "quality" tactical mag but its crap.

  • i have a really strange 10/22, it's got the international stock (l length one, love it!) but its stainless. Love that gun. Can someone recommend a set of iron sights

  • Nutnfancy, i have on video request from you. And that is a review of your Tactical Solutions barrel with Hogue stock combo. I want to run the same set up (different colors) but i cant find any good reviews of the two

  • i looking for a scope that is good for the ruger 1022 that has good range can you help? preferably under or 100$

  • whats the name of the opening song i cant find it anywhere

  • love these videos!!

  • Would this be good for fox hunting?

  • I have Colt M16 22, and love it. The only bad thing about it, is to switch form standard Velocity, to High velocity rounds you have to break it down and adjust the bolt spring. It takes time, and it is mostly trial and error. Does the 10/22 have this draw back?

  • ruger 10 22 = good family time...luv it

  • How many 10/22's do you own?

  • hey nutnfancy, i just bought a ruger 10/22 and i was wondering what scope i should get, im just plinking and shooting squirrels and birds. I dont want the scope to be to expensive.

  • Do you have to get a modified stock if you want to equip a tactical solutions barrel to a 10/22?

  • Ruger 10/22 rock! So do you, Nutnfancy! :)

  • Does anyone know anything about malfunctions involveing lack of discharge i believe its the fireing pin not the ammo of magazines (no jams). im looking for an after market solution

  • mini 14 rubber recoil pad makes it a pretty sweet length of pull/no slip upgrade.

  • where do u get ur banana clips...................i have a few but they dont feed right

  • @IOWNWITHKNIVESMW2 midway sells em for retail prices. google butler creek steel lips. I just bought some from opticsplanet.

  • LOL I noticed the First Aid Kit and the Knife, as well as the watch on your wrist, and what apears to be candy bars tucked into your rolled up shirt sleeve, HAHA.

  • I watch all review hoping you will have 10 22 target tactical but you don't have it.. is it bad ? can you tell me something about it ? i wanna buy one . thank you, Cool video anyway.

  • that last shot hold open on the chamber is 1 of the things i do like about my marlin. u know when ur empty and u dotn have to dry fire it. also u just have to pull the charge arm back when its empty and it locks then u just hit the release to chamber a round. but still i might get me 1 of these because thats not much of a set back. hell to load it i might just hold the charge arm back while i put in another clip then let it fall back.

  • Nicely done. I have two Ruger 10/22. A list of recommended parts etc, would be nice so we don't have to take notes. I learned a few things. I'll be picking up a couple of extended mag releases and pulling out my dremel to shave the bolt release nubs. I wish you had talked more about carbon barrels. Also appreciate the comments on the Tapco stock, which I've been thinking about getting. Happy Plinking...

  • Great vid. Enjoyed watching it. Just one thing - the black that you mention as part of the laminations is the formaldehyde or resorsinol glue that holds it all together.

  • would this gun be good for 100 yrd or less coyote huntung?

  • @TheRexx101 I would say no, although it would probably do the job, there are too many options that would do the job so much better.

  • @TheRexx101 The rifle is fine, but the caliber is lacking. You can, but you shouldn't use it on dogs. Anything but a brain shot has less than sufficient energy to ethically kill a dog other than your aunt's chihuahua. I have not tried the .17HMR or .22 Magnum conversions. They would work better. Be safe!

  • fart at 11:17?

  • @mrsuperterd No, the gun bumped the camera. :P

  • Could you please make some videos with step by step instructions on how to field strip the rifle and how to put on an aftermarket trigger.

  • some women may find that it is a litlte fat lol awsome reveiw keep up the awsomeness

  • Wat can you kill

  • Fantastic Review vids! I subbed. :)

I will be sure to make the 10/22 my first rifle! Long term value has been proven there!

Thanks for taking the time to do what you do!

    Cheers.

  • Very informative video. I was considering buying a .22 pistol of some sort, but I think I'm going to pick up a 10/22 instead now.

  • I just got a ruger rpf like the one he showed. I was thinking about getting a bipod for it. would I have to get a different stock to attach one or is there a way to put one on?

  • why would you put a scope on a 22lr rifle? thats like putting spinnerz on a piece of shit car?

  • @TheNeanderthaller .22's can shoot at up to 200 yards or more. try doing that without a scope. Im not trying to insult u or anything, but learn more before you post comments.

  • @mcmikeblues check out the channel ryandphal to see a 400 meter .22 shot, sure it took him a few shots but its still do able

  • Hey Nutn and all viewers, I have a question about the rifle. I just bought it brand new last night, and I have a question about the bolt: When I rack it back, about at the halfway point I encounted just a bit of extra resistance and have to use a bit more force to complete racking it all the way back. I'm just wondering if this is normal? Thanks.

  • @JYoumans251

Yes this is normal it will smooth out over time.

It gets that way at the half way point because its catchint the fireing pin and hitting the extractor. This is nothing to worry about.

  • why are you wearing that tactical outfit? are you in DSR shooting or something? or do you just like looking like a soldier??xd

  • what magazine is that your looking at? I got my own 10/22 two years ago. I shot my dads all the time and yesterday I bought a stainless steel, black for myself, I gave my current wooden version to my 15 year old and I bought another stainless for my twin brother for christmas, he is going to get it tonight from me, and he is going to crap!!!!! Let me know what magazine that is, it would be fun to page through that and dream!

  • I just bought my first rifle based off of Nutn'z Ruger 10/22 Carbine review. I'm a very proud owner now as of today and will look forward to the add-ons...scope is next on the list. As always, thanks Nutnfancy I always enjoy your videos. God Bless America

  • Nutn, do you have NINE 10/22's in this video?? NINE??? Damn boy! Get some!

  • you should get that sweet bullpup 10/22 kit

  • @chevygearhead454 I might get one.

  • Where you from? I cought in couple vids clips of Spokane, WA. and Idaho, so I assume the North-West area. I'm from Kennewick, Wa. and enjoy watching your vids...keep up the good work.

  • ahh man you look rugged in that pic as a kid haha that so awesome...did you hunt? cuz it looks like you were gonna go huntin in that pic all camod out

  • what would be a good affordable ammo?

  • @DarkSectorMaster All of it is good.

  • you have made me decide that i want the ruger 10/22 i am going to get one (at least my dad will im 14) but i am gonna customize it with triggers stocks jewled bolts mil dot scope and a green mountain fluted barrel

  • All, those clear factory magazines are really cool. I have a shitload of them.

  • Recommended accessories: recoil buffer to replace the steel factory bolt stop pin. Stops the *clang!**clang!**clang!* Also a Butler Cr. magazine loader. Stick with copper coated high velocity for reliability. An automotive brake spoon is helpful for positioning the bolt handle when replacing the bolt after cleaning.

  • Nutn when you are talking about reliability issues, I typically will go out buy a box off CCI and shoot them all off, Realize that I have proven that my gun is 100% reliable and that Remington ammo sucks!

  • i believe monte carlo is the checkering

  • @ColeProductions20 Actually a Monte Carlo style stock has a higher check well, No relationship to the checkering, The checkering is just that.... Checkering.

  • I just bought a Ruger 10 22 from a pawn shop down the road. It looks brand new and spotless. I feel funny about getting weapons from unknown owners like that, but the price was excellent.

  • great review! love that coyote tan!

what is a good scope for the 10/22 ruger? the red dot?

  • Anyone know what optics are on the 10/22 at 3:35?

  • @khoops66 The bottom one is an adco 80 30 red dot.

But dont quote me on that.

  • you got good tast in guns!

  • ahh i love it. your wife shoots (so no prob there) and your son shoots to. thats what i call a family

  • just picked mine up yesterday, thanx for all the great advice nutnfancy!!!

  • where would you want to zero in your 1022 at? 30yards 50 yards?

  • @10forswing i have almost always zeroed mine at 25 yards. i wouldnt mind shooting it in at a few yards farther back though, since ive been doing a lot of longer distance shooting with it.

  • this song is in my cabelas game. lol

  • @Airsoft823 wow.......

  • ive shot one, it shoots great

  • Would you highly recommend PFI dude's extended mag release, Nutn? The thing looks great & I don't question the quality but I just now noticed the price haha, little hefty but still can't say I wouldn't get it.

  • ur gun is on fire....

  • @nutnfancy Which manufacturer of the 25 round magazine would you suggest for the 10/22?

  • @AntonErickson Tactical Innovations TI25

  • i dont think that if your a male child that you should get compact 10 22 because they last forever and your probebly going to be using it when your an adult and it fits you

  • what optic was that on the tapco 10/22?

  • @no1livez4evr I believe it is the Adco A(Alpha) 30

  • nutnfancy must be freeken rich

  • Great review nutnfancy do you know where I can get one of those magazines for 10/22 parts?

  • Hey Nutn. Can you please make Fitzen update his website to e more of an online store. I have a hard time looking at his products and I don't know what I want to get because his website is in shambles. I promise if he spends some time updating it I will spend done Money making it worth his time. I know I could call but why would I want to talk to him about something i Can't see

  • What are you talking about use your big boy words so understand what your saying kid

  • Comment removed

  • Great vid I love my 10/22 great gun

I noticed you have a heat shield on your stainless 10/22. I have been looking around and I can't find them anywhere where did you he yours?

  • Comment removed

  • Good vid, dude

Good stuff, are you going to review the LCR .357 it'll be pretty sweet!

  • NUTNFANCY RULES!!!

  • tactical? You've got to be kidding me! it's a .22!

  • @Jerrycan335 A .22 LR hits with the same amount of Flbs as a lower end English long bow. (around 60lbs) well more than enough to do the job. people get killed with them all the time.

In fact, the .22 has killed more people outside of war than any other gun. Double 00 is just a little larger than .22.

Just because its small and slow for a bullet doesn't mean it won't f**k you up big time.

  • @nivarion I'm sure it would... Let's face it though. Served 2 tours in Afghanistan, and I'll tell you I'd much rather have something bigger then 5.56! (.223) Sure as hell would not be using a .22LR! Besides who the hell are you shooting at? Biggest thing you're likely to shoot at with a .22LR is a Coyote! It's not like they shoot back so why would you need a flash supressor, 30 round mag, or any other junk they have on there. Be honest it's just about the look cool factor (LCF)

  • @Jerrycan335 Yeah. It is for the cool factor. :D I missed getting a tactical style for $150 just a while ago. :(

But my point still stands that just because its small doesn't mean it isn't deadly. There was a lady in Florida who killed a bear with a .22 LR just recently, and only shot it 6 times.

At the end of the day, I'd rather have a .22 LR than a hand gun.

You know, Like I said they can do as much damage as a 60lb longbow with a 3 oz arrow.

    Flash suppressor is overkill though.

  • @nivarion Never said they didn't have potencial to kill... Assuming the person can place the shot. Keep in mind most can't hit the brod side of a barn! Just think making a .22LR tactical model is only one grade higher than those hard core airsoft fags! Only time a riffle should be tactical is when you're "tactical" IE: Someone could be shooting back at you! Only thing that riffle has that I would use as an add on is the Aim point.

  • just picked one up, this video helped me make up my mind. thank you
