I'm sure the "Coming soon" text animation took longer to do than the compilations of screenshots from other games that were used as the graphics for the game.

I must say that they really managed to capture the feeling of an circa 1997 western RPG intro cinematic in this though.

I searched the net and it looks like they did not get any lawsuits or anything against them. Looks like they got off scot free really.

I guess if you download a song, you get sued for millions of dollars, but go and rip off a dozen major pc titles and you get a slap on the wrist, lmao!

@graft13 I highly doubt they got away with this. We are talking about every major video game publisher in existence, with an absurdly obvious copyright infringement case to boot.

I think it became silent simply because they aren't around anymore, or because they are way too busy trying to minimize the damage. If I were in their shoes, I'd definitely do that, because the lawyers are going to have a field day with Majestic.

I found an article dated from 2004 that a certain Steve Bovis with a website on geocities was remaking Dungeon Master in 3D. If you can search for it, there are screenshots. It would be interesting to see if he stole anything for that project too.
