The first fable has to be my favorite, and after playing three I have low expectations for the franchise. The first one was wonderful and enjoyable. The second one? well I'd rather use a bow than a gun. The dog was nice though.
@BloodScorchedSun I think a mix of the combat of the first game, the amount of customization you could do to your character from the second game and the economy and expanding the ruling system of the third game would make the 4th game one of the best games made.

When I played fable 2 I played as a girl and when I played fable three it refered to my characters hero parent as "mother".... Doesn't that mean it did read the savefile of fable 2? O.o
Never played a Fable game before and considering to purchase Fable 3. I know it takes place at a different period of time, but is it still somehow connected storywise to fable 1 or 2?

I can't say I agree that hes a liar. He does break promises but I don't think he intends to do it. Making a game is complex process. I think the guy is just an over romantic who is so proud and in love with the series that he has no end of ideas for it that he gets over excited and speaks before he acts. Actually it did read the Fable 2 file . In Fable 3 I started as the Princess on my new x-box 360 which I had yet to start a file of Fable 2 on , and it told me it was my Father that was the last hero . I then started a file on fable 2 as the girl , then started a new game on Fable 3 which now referred to as the last hero , as my mother , not my father. If you were a man in Fable 2 then were a man in Fable 3 the read will naturally be unnoticed , as it would refer to your father as the last hero
@WolfGuardianRie And to specify , on the new file of Fable 3 , I was in fact the girl again . Because its more likely more men play the game , and play as guys , the game would assume it was a male that was the hero in the last one , meaning it would automatically say it was your father , unless Fable 2 told it otherwise , which in my case it did . So , though nearly unnoticed , they did in fact keep their promise of the game reading your X-box 360`s file of Fable 2 .

i actually liked fable 2 and 3 better than 1 but fable 4 should have a good mix. fable 1 was a little too challenging (maybe i just suck) but fable 2 and 3 were way too easy. i think they should make it so that there is a little more consequences when you die but not restart you from the beginning of the level
Fable 4 better be more like Fable 1 again, a more wide open complex game. I'd like to see a better bigger variety of enemies, Bosses, A harder difficulty but not too hard. More spells, weapons, clothes,Longer story, orbs, Devil horns, and all the stuff from Fable 1. Fable 3 was a total disappointment, I absolutely hated it, and Fable 2 was alright. Just shorter story, and no bosses, and less of the good stuff from Fable 1.

I hate lionhead, every time i hear fable being released as a sequal i think its going to be great and alot better, but everytime its just a little bit better and under polished, now industrial age is fail and you cant really sandbox the game. campaign was short and unsatisfying, magic and combat wasnt changed and the social skills still is meh.
Actually, it does read your fable 2 save. If your character in Fable 2 was male, then they'd say they were a king. If they were female, then people would say queen.

I hope Fable 4 and 5 become reality. But seeing as they've already hit the industrial era, they can't really continue much farther into the future, or, past.
As a 360 owner, I find it very odd that Microsoft doesn't support the 360 and PC equally. Obviously they own both platforms and it's only a win-win on their part.
@LordVurtax pc you wouldn't need much of a subscription fee since you know you have your own machine to use and play the game in but xbox has something called xbox live with makes em a shitload of money so its obvious for them to get the best stuff on the xbox so they get more money

@Pap0Anden why? they all say PS3 can extend to ANY size, so it doesn't matter what the PS3 is, it's everything you can imagine(and blue-ray) and the PS3 has almost every game that has been released to the xbox360(expect that I got pissed that xbox360 got 1 more character to unlock in Sonic SEGA rally)

@TrueShawnBW12/31/xxxx is always a palceholder date. there is no point to releasing a game at that point since you have missed xmas..esp a big name game.
It was originally suppose to be released at the same time, and had a pre-order on newegg set for the same date, but once it came out on the 360, the date on PC was pushed back. There is a pre-order set for that time, but even if it comes out then, it might be better than waiting longer and letting PC gamers forget about it just to wait longer for a holiday release. I rarely ever see a game come out before the scheduled release, so I doubt it will be sooner than that.

i like fable 1 and 2, haven't played 3. I have no complaints. The PC version is the best though. Fable 1 is too short without an expansion.

As a 360 owner, I find it very odd that Microsoft doesn't support the 360 and PC equally. Obviously they own both platforms and it's only a win-win on their part.

@LordVurtax pc you wouldn't need much of a subscription fee since you know you have your own machine to use and play the game in but xbox has something called xbox live with makes em a shitload of money so its obvious for them to get the best stuff on the xbox so they get more money

@Pap0Anden why? they all say PS3 can extend to ANY size, so it doesn't matter what the PS3 is, it's everything you can imagine(and blue-ray) and the PS3 has almost every game that has been released to the xbox360(expect that I got pissed that xbox360 got 1 more character to unlock in Sonic SEGA rally)
and about nintendo Wii, Wii is mostly meant for kids, except for some games, like 30% is hardcore/bloody games, and the rest is kiddie games

Fable 3 PC scheduled release is 12/31/2010 (so next month), and as far as I know, Fable 2 will never come to PC, sadly.

It was originally suppose to be released at the same time, and had a pre-order on newegg set for the same date, but once it came out on the 360, the date on PC was pushed back. There is a pre-order set for that time, but even if it comes out then, it might be better than waiting longer and letting PC gamers forget about it just to wait longer for a holiday release. I rarely ever see a game come out before the scheduled release, so I doubt it will be sooner than that.
