  • Now we have Catch Pole Cams? How extraordinarily uninteresting.

  • wow i know how he feels hes like stay away

  • @PanzerBlitz43 Wow, considering we chased this dog off a busy (4 lane+) street and were able to catch him and return him to his owner, I say job well done. Sorry that your dogs got out and attacked someone/something (just guessing based upon your comment) but keep your dogs contained and bad things won't happen to them.

  • @guakkareado Are you suggesting he use tranquilizers? Sorry I'm not very good with spanish.

  • I always wanted to know how a stray dog was caught. ACOfficers have a hard, demanding job.

  • The only way that dog would look cute is if he were in his own yard...and not running loose. That dog is potential disaster if he had not been caught. Great job guys... I wish we had more animal control here ..to many owners let their 'harmless pets run loose. I've been bitten twice because of dogs turned loose-not strays.

  • i love you video can you wach my videos too

  • cute lab i like how u could latch the camera onto the pole and it was a really good vid. u know trying to get a dogs trust n all. thanks for posting that. i hope 2 work with animals ( horses ) someday two im only 13 so i have a long way 2 go

  • wow the dog actually sits for you. Does that work often?

    Good job btw

  • Surprisingly yes, it works quite often with dogs that are actually owned and cared for by people. It normally won't work for dogs that don't get a lot of contact with their owners, backyard dogs and the like.

  • very intresting to watch.........

Nice job guy, thanks for sharing.....

    Ms Lola.......out.

  • a-1 catch their friend! I see you got the ol' aligator roll a few time there! lol No matter how many times you explain to them that you're just there to help they just don't get it--poor dogs! lol Say, how exactly did you mount that cam to the pole. Thanks for the great vid and amen to the training comments--what state do you work in? I'm in NJ.

  • I'm in California. The camera is the Oregon Scientific ATC2K Waterproof Action Camera and everything you need to mount it comes in the box! This is the same camera most firefighters are using for helmet cams now, they're very durable.

  • Thanks for the reply and the camera info. And sorry about not proof reading my original message--we truly are not grammaticly impaired in NJ--its just spring and you know how it goes in our field---loooonnnng days and even longer nights. lol Keep up the awesome work!

  • Nice job and do you know how old that cute black lab is?

  • No, he was basically redeemed by his owner the next day.

  • Good job. Thanks for posting this. Did you herd him into that little spot where you had him cornered deliberately, or was that part just luck?

  • No, by using the truck we were able to steer him onto side streets and then with two people semi blocking him in the front yard, he eventually ran into the backyard. We probably could have cornered him on the side of the house, but the gate was open and he ran right in. If I didn't have a trainee, I probably wouldn't have been able to catch him, but at least I could have gotten him off the busy 4 lane road by myself into the neighborhoods using my truck.

  • You got lucky every time I try and corner a dog like that it either charges at me or runs past awsome job.

  • do you carry any protection beside the pole as in bite stick or oc. We just started with tasers

  • No Taser or firearms here, PR-24 baton, ASP/Bite stick, and pepper spray only.

  • Wow! Major Kudos for your bravery. A few tense moments there, but you handled this very well. I like dogs, but when they start growling, I get very nervous. Thanks for sharing!

  • I called AC on a pit in my front yard once, she was growling and lunging at me and I couldn't leave my house.Called AC, took them an hour & the dog left 5 mins b4 she got there so she decided instead of going after the dog she would go after me and my dogs..I shut the door and I got 5 tickets..she had no idea how many dogs I had..I sent copies of their licenses to the court and it was dismissed.. She was nasty mouthed and that is why I went in my house and told her to leave my property.

  • In my jurisdiction we wouldn't issue license citaitons unless we checked first and found they weren't licensed, and we wouldn't issue license ciatations to a reporting party for a call unless there was some other major violation going on. In my area we try to educate people first, but there are also times were we need to make an enforcement which we probably wouldn't have done if someone was calling us needing our help with an aggressive dog on their property.

  • this is sick?!?! what the hell are you talking about?? This man is helping not hurting these dogs. I thank this man for all his efforts to hlp reduce the statistics of all the flat cats and dogs we see nowadays on our roadways.

  • Because of course letting them all get run over is a better choice, how silly of me. Next time I'm scooping up dog brains off the street I'll think about your comment.

  • Your right. I should have started with how the entire human existence puts other creatures, as well as the very Earth herself, in danger and our species must recognize this fact that we are a bacteria that destroys everything we set eyes upon.... sorry I only stated a small part of it all. We need to live in peace, and mutual harmony... like the rest of the entire Earth and her creatures.

  • It's a nice goal to shoot for but until we get to that point and man continues to be irresponsible for the creatures under his care, I'll have a job.

  • You are so right. You are a bacteria and should eleminate yourself forthwith. Dumbass.

  • youtube is not for hippie fucks like yourself. if it was left up to hippies, we would all kill ourselves with tons of acid.

  • What is it like being an officer?

are there any kinds of ranks besides the pay grades in this type of job?

is it true that an animal control officer has arresting poweres like you see on those animal cop shows on animal planets?

whats the diff in this job and the one mentioned in the previous question if any at all?

  • Personalmente opino que es una crueldad para el perro!

  • Hopefully this makes sense: Usted es mucho más probable de ser mordido por un perro temeroso en comparación con un perro agresivo, que por qué la asta de control debe ser utilizada.

  • Nicely done. Thanks for putting this up.

  • as long as they don't hurt the dogs and help the woners get it back and prevent it walking away I won't want to hurt them myself and do mean stuff to them

  • Very interesting video, I am glad it had a good outcome ! Thank you posting this !

  • I personaly am sick and tired of irresponsable dog owners whom let let their dogs FREE RANGE our neighborhood. It is selfish and rude behavior to play stupid to the fact your pet is harassing other neighbor's pets/children not to mention shitting in yards that don't belong to them. I have a pump gun ready to go... their balls are in my gun sites. The county says I have the right to do so.

  • Cops need control poles!!! We can just whistle at criminals and not have to tase 'em!

  • Only one of our local PD's have control poles on every car, others have a few in select units, and from what I've seen CHP units have a similar thing they call the snare.

  • were the people in the house freaking out over that dog being in their yard because if they were they have a problem that dog was cute

  • No, they had a dog, but this one wasn't it. He was just freaked out after nearly being hit by a few cars and then being cornered by strange people with strange equipment.

  • that dog HAD BETTER got adaopted or his owners reclaimed him!

  • Yep, his owners picked him up the next day. I should add when he was unloaded from the truck at the shelter, he was totally cool.

  • haha good deal
