Someone should be doing CPR constantly, as soon as you know, every second counts, dont wait for the machine EVER.. keep CPR going till machine is on and ready, then follow prompts but DONT wait for the machine PLEASE.. this WILL cost a life waiting.. 30% chance of recovery every minute is what they say now DONT delay, CPR is still the best chance of fast recovery and the AED will just make your job that bit easier when its ready.. dont forget guys CPR CPR CPR...

Just to mention...

As the guy arrives with the AED, someone is already administering chest compressions, and stops to talk to the guy arriving.

He really shouldn't stop CPR until he has Sinus Rhythm and normal resps.

also, they restart the whole CPR proccess after attaching the AED

@owencjones CPR is really unlikely to restore sinus rhythm by itself, it just buys time until you get a defib. And as a defib operator you're told to get as much information as possible about what has happened... whilst they did stop for quite a while, it is necessary to stop CPR so you can set up the AED and then resume after it's analysed...

im going to renew my certification this tuesday for healthcare also. this needs to be used. Peoples anxiety will be high and it tells you just how to do it. dummies it for lay people. this is excellent

Starting at about timepoint 0:45 they stop CPR and sit there and talk... they are wasting valuable time. they should multi task and at least open the unit and the kit up ASAP and most of us could have had the pads in place way before they did in this commercial.
