  • I've been searching a bunch of the laser keyboard videos and I can never see if what one is typing is even accurate, the blur is making it appear as if what is being typed is a load of random characters. I've thought about getting one of these before but I have yet to see a video where I can see the accuracy of the laser keyboard in action. :(

  • @Westclock86 It is really necessary to set its sensitivity before use it. anyway, it is not really accurate. Hope this helps you. :)

  • @DRoBeR Thanks for letting me know, I was hoping that it was accurate.. maybe they'll get the design perfected one day. The idea is awesome though.

  • Stop using a shitty camera to show us something it can't see. >\

  • @Westclock86 Everything I wanted to show its able to be seen. A laser keyboard, itself working and a "blurred screen" where you can see how characters are added or removed after "pressing" keys. You don't need to see those characters. It is meaningless what I was writing then. You just need to see it is a different kind of keyboard.

Anyway, it was not really intended to reach even 100 viewers when we suddenly film this (using a common mobile phone camera).

What else where you expecting to see?

  • I'd hate to play Call of Duty with this keyboard

  • @jerrylittlemars I wouldn't even dare to. ;)

  • i got have next time i need a new keyboard :)

  • moin,

    did it work real?

i think that are only lase and a fake, but when i see this, i think this is real.

    pleas answer me^^

(sorry for my bad english i´m not fron USA or GB)

  • @dennif1993 Hallo!

My English is not perfect either I am from Spain.

This is a real device. You can actually buy it on eBay or a local computering store. Ask for a "laser keyboard". Price: About $100.

    Tschüß!

  • @DRoBeR Buenass! Bueno el video una pregunta el sistema lo tienes conectado por bluetooth o usb? gracias!!

  • @Salherek La conexión se realiza a través de la tecnología Bluetooth siendo esta además la única posible con este teclado. :)

  • @DRoBeR thanks mister!

  • @dennif1993 hi dude my english is bad 2. but this is real, its so cool

  • It wouldn't feel too well pushing the buttons, I like my buttons to go up and down (giggity)

  • damn this is like those future movies where they just swing a hand and a keyboard pops up

  • @Bilast911 In fact, if you don't use the keyboard for a while it stops projecting the keyboard on the surface to save energy... and if you move your hands to use it... the keyboard will projected back. Those features depend on which of the different Laser Keyboard models you are using. :)

  • really useless i think

  • @TDuD3 yes its more trendy the usefull :p

  • looks kool, but far from being ergonomic

  • is this working without the computer ? just with the handy ?

  • @ISUBSUCTIONS It is a bluetooth keyboard. You can use it with any bluetooth compatible device without any other device. So, it works perfectly with Mobiles, PDAs and computers :)

  • @ISUBSUCTIONS Das heißt cellphone nicht handy du spast

  • WOW O.O

  • @dabu No, it actually doesn't. Not as nice as a common keyboard

  • Can you see it when lights is on? It sucks to use it only in dark :/

  • @Maalinakki Yes, you can use it when lights are on. Just can't use it when there is too much light on the area of the keyboard projection.

  • where did u get it?

  • @DarkBloodyShadow I bought it at eBay.

  • Funny but really just get a Rubber Keyboard, cuz if i would use that Virtual crap i might end up on a rooftop jumping down

  • what the hell ?

  • bull this isnt real

  • @kidcutter4 yea it is. look it up. its actually really cool. :)

  • it would be cool if you could put it on a girls belly. lol, tickle and type at the same time. XD

  • Piece of crap sounds like it's typing way more letters than the guy is actually 'pressing'

  • ...yes, but... how does it work?

  • dude it fails for gaming though lol but very cool

  • @Googlecow456 well, you can play a MuD on your N810 or N900 hehe. ;)

  • @DRoBeR, yea lol

  • haha i have this, mine is blue :)

  • where did u get a blue one?

  • @demover7 Does blue look better? I guess so. :)

  • i don't know about everyone else, but being able to feel the keys helps me type faster and without looking...i'd use this for show or for when i have mobiliy issues though

  • AWESOME!

  • how much it cost?

  • 160 dolars

  • i cant type without looking at it >:[

  • sick one. ^^

  • This will be cool when it's built in to the device, so you can just prop up your iphone or droid and start typing.

  • LAZER

  • XTREME

  • The Idea is cool but not comfortable

  • I saw this on MSN's "top 10 worste products" article.

  • Fucking A...

This could be the first time in my life I agree with Micro$oft.

    Actually, I don't...

I think Windows Vista is the worst product in the world followed by Windows ME and... ;)

  • @DRoBeR

    lol

  • @rudoman22 It's terrible now but you need to see the potential in this sorta thing. The first telephone sucked ass but they perfected it. Radios, computers, records and so on were terrible in hind sight but nonetheless, evolved. This may be one of those revolutionary things that needs time and tweaking to make useful. Paying $100 for it is fail but mine was $30 and yes, it does suck and may only hold novel integrity at best, in time, something like this may become mainstream

  • @auron508 Very true haha.

  • where do I get it?It looks cool...can we play games wif it?(like maple )

I'm from SG,so I dun think it has arrived here yet :(

  • Hello, l0vesFeiLunHai.

It is not really good for playing games.

I live in Spain & I bought it in eBay.

Nowadays, I guess its price shan't be superior to $140.

You might want to buy in eBay too.

Hail "City of the lions". :)

  • no mames wey esta perro me voi a comprar uno de esos....

  • do you think you could play games with it? :)

  • theres no way you could play games on it, since holding down keys wouldnt work very well.

  • its a good way to get a full sized keyboard without taking up any physical space, but theres flexible keyboards that roll up, which i think i'd prefer but this is still pretty cool

  • well i dont care about other critics but i think this is the only the best portable wireless keyboard so far..i have this i brought it for $210 but the prob is you barely use it at out doors that very bright area (sorry for my bad english)

  • i want one, where did you get is?

  • wow! i did'nt think we had this yet!

  • ive got one right in front of me! =)

  • NO ONE need this..

  • yes but no one needs a computer, a house or a job but they sure are useful

  • @ShiggZter maybe for someone who travels... idk

  • @Neofire60 Take a look at the device (that black column) it is not really stable. If you are inside of an aeroplane or a train it would be complicated to use.

  • @DRoBeR Im talking about using it in a hotel or something

  • Wow. Didn't know they had this already.

  • same...and damn we're out dated...this vid is posted on 2007

  • gayest part:

you cant lay your finger on the keys, then snap to hit a button like you would do normally on a pc keyboard. This makes you feel newbie, and type slower.

  • It would be better if you had a keyboard which consisted of a thin keysheet and a camera and software that looks at the camera input and determines which key you pressed.

  • F*****ck it's damn cool!

Do you know where and how and for how much bux i can get it? :)

I'd even stop paying for WoW if it's too expensive!

  • You can get it via ebay or thinkgeek.

Its price can't be mor expensive than $150.

  • more*

  • It's not good for gaming trust me, I tried one out from a friend and I layed my hand down while playing CS:S and all the keys went crazy, lol I would just stick to a normal one for gaming, that one is just for typing and sutff, its still pretty neat though.

  • lol Perfect response V19torrent. That's almost exactly what I said

  • This looks really cool. I mean i dont see how it'll improve my life, but it still looks pretty righteous lol

  • I've noticed that people are just starting to catch on to this. Stores are re-stocking and youtube 'reviews' are getting fresh comments.... interesting.

  • I've uploaded this video in October 2007 and I can say it is not a really great device but interesting indeed. :)

  • WOW!

    laser keyboard! O_o<(real!)

  • Can I get one for my laptop? I have Vista

  • I guess it will work with almost every nowadays O.S., mate.

    Nice white Les Paul. ;)

    Good luck with your music!

    Rock on!

  • WHAAAA--- Are you for REAL??? This is incredible!

  • It is real. You can find information about it everywhere. :)

  • It is very cool but do you really need one? Or is it worth 99$ And is it so good?

  • I think no one NEEDS this. :)

  • truly a gimic due to the fact that a good typist goes by feel and the home station when typing this negates all that. this is mostly for point and punchers

  • How does it detect when you enter a character?

  • the shadow and the time your heat fingers are there heat seking teclologi "isnt it amasing" i wanna buy one but where ??

  • I know where you can buy one

  • me 2 but it isnt good for gaming you cant hold the lethers in you can only press them nit hold them so you cant run in games whit w,a,s,d an other keys

  • Thinkgeekdotcom has them for like 99$

  • It is accurate down to a millionth of a second. It sends out the light, and expects a recieved signal. When the signal is interrupted from a certain distance (based on time narrowed) It knows which and what key is 'touched'

  • Does it work it well lighted areas? Like out side?

  • well sit back and think about that question........... does a flashlight work outside(well)?................do you need to have your head\lights on outside?

  • No. but flashlights and head lights aren't laser...

  • yea u got a point sorry shouldnt of been rude

  • do you have to type really slow like that when you use it? (you're pecking a lot with your fingers)

  • despues de unos anios esa mesa va estar decolorida y las yemas amarillas lol, no en realidad es exelente esa tecnologia.

  • do you have to configure it on your computer or does it work with any computer?

  • you need a bluetooth adapter to use it. and for anyone who is wondering it is easy to type on it just use two fingers and hold them above the lazer if you arent over the letter you want

  • i want!!!!!!

  • where can you buy this thing?

  • wow it`s a great thing !heh ... =) ...

    5 stars!

  • There are just a few rates but there are more than 50,000 views so...

    danke schön. Tchüß. :)

  • huuuuh !!!

    Bizzare

  • I agree, girlfromKuwait. :)

  • Looks very unpracticle to type on, I wouldn't want one for the sake of it.

  • It is quite hard to use indeed. :)

I've got it in my desktop drawer. (I guess...)

  • ya i would believe it would be harder.. you wouldnt get the feel, and after awhile it would get annoying to use... but nice. i personally enjoy the original:P

  • I get the feeling it would be very difficult to touch-type...since there's nothing to touch.

  • Must be expensive. If not could anybody tell me how much it is, cause I need a new one. Just to replace my 1994 Compaq keyboard.

  • actually it's 149 on AMazon

  • thats so awsome!!!!! i should put that on my girfriends tiddies!!!!!

  • lol! I should try that too..

  • Oh come on. you're looking at a video of a laser keyboard, and you spelled titties with D's. You don't have a girlfriend.

  • Ahahahah! Amazing idea!:D

  • could you please tell me any one that is

    how does download this video?

  • does it come with a usb adaptor to connect to your computer

  • Nope, it doesn't.

  • Does this work well? What are its flaws and strengths?

  • i use that phone as my secondary phone :D

  • coooooooooool damn right sick man!

  • Thats pretty cool!

  • how does it know when you've actually pressed a letter?

  • It projects the keyboard image to the table and when you move your fingers close to those virtual keyboard keys it detects them due to a sensor it has on the front of the device. It is really close to the base.

In fact, it does a precheck everytime you try to turn it on. You can't turn it on on the air.

    Nice question by the way.

  • closest thing i could figure is that your fingers left a heat signature that it used to figure out what button you pressed XD

  • not even that expensive really its cheap

  • ive seen does where did you get them are they compatible with mac

  • Almost with any nowadays O.S.

  • amazingly i saw this back when i was in highschool doing software desing, which was about 3 years ago... never heard of the product since then

  • I bought it more than one year ago and I think I used it twice...

It's an interesting tecnology but nowadays is not completely developed for commercial use. :)

  • cool... i know that stuff connects to via bluetooth... :D

  • that kicks ass!!!

  • why did you used the laser keyboard if you had a normal one??

  • It is simple... We all know how a common keyboard works and looks like.

This video shows «a laser keyboard working» because it is not too common to see one.

See you later. Thanks for your comment.

  • 1. he want show it to "us"

    2. its lots of cooler

  • Why drive a Porsche if you had a Chevrolet impala LS?

  • Because you have the extra money to get it...

  • and a small penis.

  • hahaha win

  • Neat, though you'd probably need a flat clean surface for it so probably won't replace laptops. But it would be a nice way to open up space on desks.

  • what it s called? it s for pc too? and how much it costs??? plz answer

  • Yashu.

    Less than $140.00

Search for "laser keyboard" on Google or directly on eBay.

    Later.

  • its jerky but it will get better as time passes

  • Hope it will be configurable.

It will be nice to have an international keyboard via hardware that just need a little finger movement to set a new keyb variant or absolute different lang. :)

  • it may be a little hard to use, but its friggin cool

  • virtual reality

  • real virtuality in this case :)

  • nop its real douchebag

  • It maybe looks like a fake but it is not. :)

You can find more videos and websites for buying it.

I may upload new videos about this device if it is necessary.

  • thats bad coz u cant feel wat ur doing and like you dont know wat your typing i still think the normal keyboards are way better

  • I want keyboard like that :)

  • cool

  • they should space out the letters more for the sake of fat fingers

  • If this kind of devices will evolve I think developers and technicians will do a configurable keyb. I mean, configurable keys, distances, sensitivity...

  • Its bad enough I have a keyboard which is black and thin, with too shallow of a key and is very hard to see.......That would be pure hell. Also it would go against federal workplace safety code. Can we say Corporal Tunnel nightmare anyone?

  • and if there is a sun?? ahahah

  • hehe. molto grazie per un commetario alegre. :)

Thanks for a funny comment. ;)

I think you'll be unable to see the keyb x)

    This is not a 4x4 Keyboard. ;)

  • what cancer does it cause ?

  • Test have proven it doesnt emit cancer rays but instead PURE ESSENCE of AIDS

  • wtf awsome how muck it cost?

  • About $130 USD.

  • I heard these are a real pain to use, at least that's what they said on Tekzilla and I quote, in response to a question about it, "I was hoping they died the proper death that all useless, overpriced gadgets that don't work should suffer especially when I have to test them! On a less obnoxious note, they were enormously difficult to touch-type with, didn't work well and cost an arm and a leg"

and yeah, it was the one you're using... I'm just wondering if it really is that difficult to use?

  • Yep, it is quite hard to use.

In fact in the last seconds of this video... I am pressing backspace continuously. ;)

    See you.

  • ya i think the idea was scraped recently.

  • i wish i could get one but shame i'm not in that money state :-(

  • Me llevo 300

  • yo también... pero tan pronto como sean configurables a otros idiomas.

  • How dificult is it to type on one of these virtual keyboards? does it ever sense that your hitting a key you dont want to hit if your just hovering over it and not actually tapping the table?

  • You can configure its sensibility but practicing is needed to get a nice speed.

  • can you change the keyboard language? instead of 'f' you would see a korean 'ㄹ' does it have any language options like that?

  • No, kennyCusine, it is just in English. :/

I'd love to find one configurable laser keyboard, because I want the Spanish 'ñ' and tildes, but it could be very expensive.

    Take care

  • dam...

    that's amazing/

    where r they available?

  • I bought it on Ebay for less than $150.
