I heard the same licks throughout the whole solo, which says one thing...he's not experimenting or offering much of anything. When you listen to hendrix, trey, srv...the greats; you get a feeling like you've been enlightened. I felt stupider after listening to that solo. You're good Warren, but your not THAT good brotha.

Let me also add that I'm a Phish fan but Trey is not "one of the greats" in the same sentence as SRV and Jimi nor is he even close.Trey often noodles mindlessly for 25-30 bars before playing anything of substance, if you give me 7 minutes to solo over a simple progression I pull a tasty lick out of my ass too that doesn't make me a great.
