T3 has a simple slipper clutch setup. Make sure the pinion and spur gear are not complete slammed together. Need just a smidge of space between the two. Next don't over tighten the slipper clutch nut, want to have a little slip when the truck takes off, meaning truck should grip like after 15 ft or so. I hope that helps.
@thebkish Traxxas Titan 12t motors are bulletproof if you want something that will last literally forever. Or, upgrade to a brushless system, they're pretty tough as well
nice man i have- factory team t4 chechpoint 3600 2s lipo lrp sphere competition esc (3.5 turn brushless limit) 13.5 turn stock lrp vector brushless motor spektrum reciver and remote jr 590 servo all in all i got about 1200 bucks into it plus im looking to buy- 3s 5000mah lipo 4 turn modified brushless lrp vector motor it will go about 80mph comment back!!
dude, it is call eBay. I am sure you can find some T3s on there. The other thing i would suggest is Forums on R/C car sites, you can find peeps selling their T3's.
the slipper looked a little loose hahaha a $5 fix but i find most performance with it as tight as a 16 yr old jk but i am running a sidewinder brushless its insane all you gotta do is have good throttle controll good luck hope to see the truck sometime goodluck racin
Yeah not to bad for his first time. im thinking of getting a rc10 t3 soon but im putting a mamba max 6900 in it, its gonna be crazy with my LiPo battery :)

u should be able to run a piece of paper between the spur and pinion with out tearing the paper

nice. i am gonna get a rc10 t3 for my birthday. it will be my first off road rc. right now i have 2 rc10 gt touring cars. they rock. keep practicing

The RC10GT is Team Associated's gas stadium truck... the AE touring car is the TC3.

pretty good for your first time just like me with my t4 i raced and came in last place also put a little less throttle on the corners ok
