  • I loved giving my CAW's the Burning Hammer in WWF No Mercy.

  • Awesome maneuver

  • I just noticed that this Burning Hammer had been toned down to some extent.

Originally thought the wrist-clutch variation was the first time Kobashi toned it down.

You'll see how he lifts the leg up and not fully puts his weight in to the driver.

    Still, it looks SICK!!

  • japanese wrestling = botchamania

  • Yes, this one of the most devastating finishers I have ever seen. I still have to rank the F-5 over it though, because the height and angle that Lesnar got the opponent up at were amazing, and Lesnar is probably the most powerful man to ever set foot in a ring.

  • @donzaloog1400 I would have to agree partially, Lesnar was beast when he wrestled, but a Cutthroat Burning Hammer? I'd rather be Nunzio being speared by Goldberg, haha

  • @XIIISyns Yh. Goldberg's spear is the most powerful spear of all. With Edge's spear as the weakest. But this burning hammer move is banned by the WWE, and for good reason.

  • screw this move F -5 all the way

  • @vasman5000 haha, both are great, burning hammer is way better though.

  • @JamieBugajski 1. IR'A NOT EVEN THE SAME MOVE. iF IT LANDS ON THE FACE, IT'S A SPICY DROP, NOT A TRUE BURNING HAMMER. A TRUE BURNING HAMMER LANDS THE OPPONENT ON THE TOP OF THE HEAD, NOT ON THE FACE, THAT WOULD BE A TORTURE RACK DDT, NOT A BURNING HAMMER WHICH IS A TORTURE RACK BRAINBUSTER

  • argentine piledriver

  • @kingofrockers1 more of a brainbuster actually

  • @wwetnasux maybe, but the effect its from the piledriver, maybe it was botched in the video...

  • @kingofrockers1 It's not botched, not the cleanest, but not botched. That guy's just retarded and apparently doesn't know what drain bamage is, haha. I'd like to see him get in a ring with Kenta and get a Burning Hammer to where he gets dropped on the head, especially when he has to practice how to sell the move, so they do it over and over.

  • @XIIISyns LOL, yeah, u are right, i saw the video again...

  • that's an argentine ddt

  • @starapthor342 no, kit's an argentine brainbuster, the Argentine DDT lands the opponent face first, not on the top of the head

  • @JamieBugajski No I don't like Tyler Dicks because he is fucking hack and just another future jobber who has no talent and doesn't deserve to be on TV.

  • Stolen movie or not, he still does it.

  • God is that brutal.....

  • Tyler Reks does this move

  • @MVPoftheIWC No what you meant to say is Tyler Dicks stole this movie.

  • @EdmondSwitch you are both wrong,he does an okay move and stole the name from an epic move.

  • say whatever you want, okay, the FU hurts, but its nothing compared to this, well, okay, the FU might be hurt more but just because the opponent is knocked the fuck out when he gets the burning hammer

  • Agreed - that is one HELL of a finishing move!

  • That is one of the most devastating moves ever!

  • 中国人?とか書いてる外人のお気に入り動画が最近は三沢だらけな件について。多分三沢が死んだニュースで初めて日本のプロレスを知ったんだろうな。

  • As far as I know pro wrestling in China is like Cricket in North America.

  • i think that chinese and japanese wrestling is WAY BETTER thank WWE

  • yea because there moves are badass wwe has watered down moves

  • its japanese

  • Burning Hammer is my all time favorite move.

  • Its true that the Burning Hammer hurts more then the FU, but the FU isn't totally useless. Land hard flat on your back and it WILL hurt. Burning Hammer hurts more cause the person lands on his front. They both run the risk of dropping someone on their head.

  • The Burning Hammer is a driver (the Victoria Driver) therefore it intends the oponent to land on their head, just look at the first Burning Hammer against Misawa and you'll see.

Whilst the FU would wind someone, Cena doesn't put enough force into it so it looks fairly limp.

  • the fu did start off as a death valley driver, but cena never really did drop his opponents on their heads like you should for a DVD. it just kinda evolved into a slam and the fu was born to play up his feud with brock lesnar, who was using the f5

  • I feel you, but Cena let's them down fairly soft. He doesn't really force them down you know?

  • my mate has taken a WELL better burning hammer type in RCWA detonation 15 its on the second match

  • Not the best Hammer, but still sick.

  • SICK!

  • No. Not a broken neck, just pure pro wrestling the way it should be. :)

  • go away

  • the F-U is a pussy move, done by a faggot. Burning hammer hurts way more, so fuck off.

Might look like the F-U, but it has it's difference.

  • Cena Sucks

    FU = Fucking Useless

  • How does fake stuff hurt way more?

  • Assuming IF the move was real, burning hammer would hurt alot more. Thanks for correcting me mate.

  • The first time that Kobashi used the move it looked pretty damn painful. Dropped the guy right on his head

  • There really is a huge difference. In the Burning Hammer, the guy really lands almost in a piledriver type position. With the FU the guy lands flat on his back. The Burning Hammer looks way more painful and deadly. I just hate on SvR 2009 that the Burning Hammer is actually a reverse FU.

  • There is an actual Burning Hammer on SvR, its aturnbuckle based grapple though.

    Kobashi > The World.

  • You're right. I forgot all about that one. I think it was called the reverse Death Valley Driver. It's definitely one of the most painful-looking moves in the game.

  • Inverted Death Valley Bomb.

  • actually the opponent lands in a DDT position if Kenta does it right.

  • I think that the reverse FU is actually the Spicy Drop/Spice Rack done by Curry Man aka Daniels aka Christopher Daniels.

  • yeah that is his name for the burning hammer, but when the wrestler has no specific gimmick the move is called the burning hammer

  • @eaglewings basicly is completly deferent from fu

  • @eaglewings 1. It's inverted, and 2. There's a SICK HEAD DROP. The FU/AA is just a standing fireman's carry with a little added impact, nothing more, nothing less. Now don't get me wrong, The FU is not the worst finisher I've seen, but it's far from great. I'm not too sold on Wade Barrett's finisher either. It's not much better than the FU if any at all.

  • @eaglewings and I'm sure you've taken so many bumps to be in a great position to say an F-U is a pussy move as opposed to dropping a guy nearly on his head and risking life and body for the sake of a spot... Body = Money. Faggot.

  • @magickarlos Way to go replying to a year and a half old comment! Risking life and body for the sake of a spot is the whole concept of wrestling now isnt it? And Body isnt money unless you're a stripper. :3

  • @SuperDUDERIKI No, risking life is the concept if you have no training and wrestle in a fucking school gym for $2 a night. The business is about being able to work four nights a week without getting hurt or hurting the other guy and trusting them with your body. So when you are working your body is your money, otherwise you go and work for a 2 bit promotion, get hit with a metral tray accross the head, blade and get schoolboyed until you are hooked on painkillers for the rest of your life.

  • @magickarlos The place you see in this video is not America.People consider wrestling a sport there. They hurt each other for real. Its like any other sport. Take UFC for example. They know its a show but they still beat the crap out of each other.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI Christ, here we go again... OK I'm fully aware it's Japan. The business still has a veil of secrecy to it in Japan and the guys work stiffer matches, unlike America where psychotic fans have ripped the life and soul out of it. In Japan they train the neck harder in order to sustain the impact of these types of bumps, I hope that clears it up for you. I hope to god you aren't comparing this to UFC either?

  • @magickarlos Well if you already knew that then why the hell did you even mention 2 bit promotions and painkillers? When i said "wrestling" i meant puroresu.Sorry if that confused ya.And it was already clear enough i have no idea why you would even mention the special training. And yes i am comparing this to UFC,there a problem with that?

  • @SuperDUDERIKI Japan has two bit promotions too dip shit, not just America. Do you think a guy getting blown up every night and getting dropped on thumbtacks can work 5 nights a week 52 weeks a year? UFC fighters have about four matches a year which is completely different to a wrestler's schedule. Furthermore they don't have the travel schedule. And on top of that they are two completely different entities, your a fucking idiot if you think Japanese Puroresu and UFC are the same thing.

  • @magickarlos Puroresu is not the same thing as UFC,i never even said that lol.Ofc Japan has two-bit promotions i never said that it didn't.You cant avoid risking your life in any type of fight.Puroresu tries to make the fight look more authentic and real. And when i say "Puroresu" i don't just mean Japanese wrestling as a whole.I mean bigger promotions like NJPW,NOAH,AJPW. Not Osaka Pro or IWA Japan or else.Sorry if that confused ya too.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI No, they don't try and make it more authentic and real, they try to make the audience suspend belief whilst maintaing character, trust me there is a difference between the two concepts. If we wanted to make it more authentic or real we would actually punch the guy, or slam him hard you stupid mark.

  • @magickarlos Ahem, what the hell do we see in every other puroresu video? -___-

  • @SuperDUDERIKI It's one thing to do a burning hammer and drop the guy on his neck, but why do it? Which brings me back to the original point, which is when people say an FU is a pussy move in comparison which got me angry in the first place, primarily because the people saying that bullshit have no idea what they are talking about.

  • @magickarlos Why do it? To make it more epic. Why do the FU? Why do an arm drag? If you know you are gonna get hurt, one way or another, doing the thing you want to do you are going to take that risk.Compared to a Burning Hammer the FU is a pussy move.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI How on earth can you call it a pussy move? Could you take that kind of bump? I highly doubt it, so don't sit there behind your computer and say that. My point from the very beginning is it's very typical "internet community" to say a move is a pussy move. Nobody commenting on this could take an FU and sell it so shut the fuck up.

  • @magickarlos Learn to listen. I said compared to the BURNING HAMMER. Head-drop>>>Slam. I also train judo,we learn how to fall there so i guess it wouldn't be much of a problem.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI It doesn't matter if it's compared to a chop let alone a BH. The problem you don't seem to grasp is that while one may hurt more than another they serve a purpose. My original comment was to do with a guy calling a pussy move, and no, because you do Judo doesn't mean you can sell it, that's why Misawa was the only guy Kobashi would use it on, because out of the entire roster nobody could land right or sell it properly. I somehow doubt you would be an exception.

  • @magickarlos Well true, all moves do hurt.Actually, what is the proper way to sell a burning hammer? I think there isn't one. You take the move and hope you aren't dead.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI It isn't as simple as just taking the move, you condition your neck and shoulders to be able to take the force of the landing, furthermore if it is done wrong by either the guy doing the move or the guy selling it, the guy on the receiving end could either die or receive paralysis. Selling it is therefore even harder because not only are you trying protect your body, you also want the crowd to believe you have been dropped on your head.

  • @magickarlos Sure.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI Glad you agree, now fuck off

  • @magickarlos Why the hostility,stranger?

  • @magickarlos No.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI Because I'm sick of you stupid marks and haters

  • @magickarlos I never hated on anything and i clearly stated my reasons which really doesn't make me a mark.Jeez, learn to listen to others.

  • Well...If Cena does the F-U inverted it MAY hurt...But still the Burning Hammer own it in all the aspects, first of all because it's executed by Kobashi-san one of the most badass wrestlers in Japan and possibly in the world

  • definitely the world. he's one of, if not the best.

  • OUCH!!!

  • I have this match on dvd it's awesome. As much as I love Kobashi I thought Kobashi should of dropped the title to Akiyama. He could of became such a big star :(

  • broken neck?

  • break fall?

  • ouch
