  • In the thirds from E flat major sowing at 1:56, why did one note lack the third?

  • Bastard. It's pianists like you who make me hate the guitar...

    Great playing!

  • Wow! great rendition...... I played bass professionally back in the sixties and seventies until I got caught up in the boatbuilding profession. I'm just amazed how good the bass sounds,my style of playing.

It's wonderful to see all tthis technology being put to creative use. Surry with a fringe on top is great to play in the jazz idiom. Just love the Blossom Derie version with Jack Parr.

Again you are doing wonderful work .

  • Amazing.

The way I can follow your playing is absolutely wonderful.

    Great job!

it's so nice to share these with us!

  • Absolutely fantastic Doug. That piece means a lot to me. I live in Oklahoma. I've done multiple performances of the musical and I've also sang "Surrey" as a duet with our symphony orchestra.

I've never tried a jazz piano version...and you can be sure I'm off to try that right now.

Thanks for this musical offering. I hope you have a very merry Christmas.

Man what a touch.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR ;-)

  • Yes, I am completely agree with what "Lot2learn" wrote. A real job, clean, with a description that makes it easy to follow and understand, but at the same time

advanced. And I also add that your way of playing makes this a great masterpiece.

  • Once again your mastery of so many different styles is magnificently displayed. You blend them together to form your own unmistakable sound. A truly wonderful post Doug! I love the format of the presentation as well. A clean layout, easy to follow and informative.
