  • You maybe right abt that MPC Renaisance AraabMuzik know he make shit better then that he raw as F* The beat Thang pretty raw as F also to me it all depends how much you put into what you use though really! i know local pro, who has it all and still they music sounds like garbage. I miss the ols skoo way how beats and music was really made

  • Limitations equal creativity.

  • I still find the analogy hilarious..Talkin about I had a black and white tv back in the day...I love the black and white tv...and now he wants to see the future.

Well the MPC Ren is the future. Get wit it or get left behind.

  • I hear you my dude. BTW, my MPC4000 is sittin' over there collecting dust. LOL but SMH. I LOVE the software version of BT. I made this beat/song right here ----- Bit(dot)ly(slash)BelieveFromSCV2 ----- with my BTV & exported the beat to Pro Tools. Let me know what you think and i'm clicking subscribe on ur channel cuz u know what ure talking bout my G. Much Respect. Keep informing.

  • 8 outs are mandatory for people who use outboard gear. There's producers who like outboard effects and eps instead of software algorithm based plugins. People talk about technology, but the more records that are produced with software algorithm based technology, the more record sales are diminishing. I used software for years, went back to outboard gear because it's sounds better, although I still use software for some things.

  • I'm watching this and CRACKING UP! 'Zilla is my dude too. I'm gonna half to come up the way and hang with y'all and chop it up in the lab, if nuthin' else the convo will be great. I personally think it's a matter of preference. I know Rockwilder endorses Beat Thang as well. I just think technologically, producers are moving away from i/o based units. Most producers have a macbook and the Studio is a nice accompaniment for that.Drop the .wav or aiff into the software and...#BONG!

  • @whatj you mean Akai<Beat Thang

  • Akai>Beat Thangz

  • @dlpeace LISTEN MAN I WITH YOU ON THIS BIG HOMIE I GOT THE BEAT THANG VIRTUAL I HAD IT FOR 2 YRS NOT EVERYBODY GONNA LIKE IT BUT ITS NOT ABOUT THE BTV ITS ABOUT WHAT WORKS FOR THAT PERSON IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO LIKE IT YOU CANT FORCE IT BUT I CAN TELL YOU AND TO ANYONE WHO XOMMENTS ON THIS PAGE GO TO MY LIKE PAGE ON FACEBOOK ANGELICVOICES MUSIC ALL I USE IS BTV GO THERE AND HEAR SOME REAL PRODUCTION WITH THIS IM TELLIN YOU I GOT THE BEATS THAT PROVES HIS WORDS AND MINES I MAKE MUSIC NOT BEATS

  • Anybody that ever used the Beat Thang hardwere will tell its dope.

  • @dlpeace you should calm down,i think you only mad about the beat

  • @EastOaklandRyder510 Its far from a toy.First its built like a tank and 2nd its doesnt need 8 outs thats old school.it exports the tracks out to any program pro tools whatever you use

  • @dbang The Beat Thang is a nice little toy, like Casio keyboard. How can you call it professional though? It's battery operated, no spdif or adat output, or phono ground, no 8 out expansion. And the Operating system looks sluggish.

  • I HAVE THE B.T.V AND THE SOFTWARE IS DOPE!! I ONLY FUCK WITH THE BEST

  • MASCHINE TAKES IT ALL DAY!!!

  • THEY CLONED HIMMM...LOLOLOL

  • You're calling the Rennaissance limited, but you can still use the MPC Fly(iPad) make a tight beat on the road and load it up on your Rennaissance when you get to the house.

I dont think the Beat Thang can compete.Haven't used the BT so I can't really speak on it.

  • Not a stand alone!!

  • Da da dada da da daaa....1-2-3 MPC Ren all day. How can you call a MPC limited? MPC can be uses as a sequencer for outboard gear, a drum machine, a sound designer. MPC all day.

  • Akai made the Renaissance is the MPC 5000 with buttons and color of the MPC 3000. I believe they know people love the 3000, so they are trying to copy it. But they left out one BIG factor; they left out Roger Linn. If they had any since, they would have called him and made him a part of this new MPC. Akai without Roger Linn equals a flop! I don't think they even have the software correct, yet.

  • Akai is chasing NI Machine.

  • @kroser1983 What's up come join in on the Producer Challenge we go going on check out my videos Producer Challenge Pt 2. We're just having fun.

  • @kroser1983 do you have a Beat Thang?

  • The Beat Thang is a piece of shit, theres a reason why its not as popular as the akai range.

  • I get more done on with my reason 6, recycle MPK49 and my asr10. I had a mpc 200xl and i sold it. It's now what you have..... it's how you control what you have.

  • The Mpc is like a technic turntable, it's a classic other then the ASR. You can make beat on anything it's all about what your comfortable with, portability me it's the iPad but at home I'm sticking with the Mpc and what ever software I can get my hands on, It's just that simple.

  • Hell yeah, I got the Beat Thang back in September and I love it. I don't have any desire for anything more than my DAW's and keyboard, not to mention, they are dropping the price to $999 now that the exclusive deal with Best Buy is over.

  • this guy? . . . you gone on for 10+ mins or so and say nothing tge only thing you say abort the beat thang is how it can chop a sample so wat any1 of my daws can chop a sample better faster than thee beat thing. then the only thing you say bad about the mpc is the beat and then insult arab who cares we need facts look that up and I'll research the beat thing cause you informed us nothing about it oh but lot can chop sample w.o.w. as sarcastically as possible

  • @djhellfire1 no the machine is dope, you still need a keyboard. The new mpc r is just another mpd. I'm going to do a video today to explain some things.

  • So basically, you're saying the Maschine is also stupid and comparable to a 500? Because it's basically the same shit as the MPC Studio.

  • that beat was garbage lol !!

its like , when your building a studio , you need pads , and you need keys , but to buy that garbage when you already have good pads and midi controllers thats just crazy !!

but you live you learn , ( i have the mpc1000 , maschine , triton , kp3 , mixer , Ipad , Pro tools , FL studio, reason , ableton) and people sleepin on the IPAD ! u can use a usb audio/midi interface with it ! , you can use your mouse and keyboard to control it !.. and FL studio is AMAZING

  • @suciobeats no they just made a better MPD. Where is the stand alone? If your going to combine something it would've been both stand alone and a controller. $1299 that's crazy for a controller

  • Comment removed

  • @dlpeace

It's not just a controller. It comes with it's own software. You can use it as standalone and as VST plugin. check akaipro

  • I don't know how you could bash something you've never used.

That's like me bashing the Beat Thang and say my Maschine is 100x better.

They are combining the MPC with software...something they've never done, before.

This was just a big trolling session.

  • @suciobeats BTW....it doesn't matter what you use, it's what you do with it that matters.

  • 7:00 "You can't be bangin on it like you do with the 4000 man,..you can't do it." LOL

  • Oh if they going to have the MPC r at Best Buy its as good as got. Discount!!!!!

  • Also my dude...MPC R is $1128.93 at a store online called HTFG =hard to find gear/ and at best buy for $1299.online and the MPC studio is $299 online..the mpc fly $299.

  • Did you Know the Guys from Beat Thang is saleing it for $999.00

they are Boardcasting it at the Namm Show...Now at best buy /guitar center and sam ashe ...Plz don't get it twisted...those are my boys from Nashville...I got Emails and Numbers from them...Not Dallas Austin...he is a add on after the fact...Im with ya' its the SHT and it is coming out with a Software update go to BEAT THANG NAMM SHOW 2012 you will see and hear..holla at ur boy.. komposa@gmail.com

  • Not all boards are keyboards. Walk into a room with an SSL Duality, and tell me then that you aren't impressed by a real analog summing mixer.

  • @krym21 what the Beat Thang?

  • Can We have More Facts Please? What So Great About? Show Us...

  • @ScottzillaMusic Thats what i was saying

  • is it just me or are all the beats they make on beat machine advertisements WACK?

  • hahaha, shit is too funny!

  • i feel you cuz akai should have did better then that.that mpc fly is just a tease.i think because native instruments came out with theirs, they finally decide to come out with something new.after 25 years come on they should have stepped their game up years ago.i rather have a beat thang or maschine mikro.then their new drum machine.god know what the price will be

  • no offense my dude

  • it will speak for itself and it so much more limited

  • all joking aside i have a beat thang and the virtual. and both are garbage .this drum machine is such a fucken gimmick it is shit. my maschine is way better and the mpc is legendary. before u ever buy the beat thang try out virtual u will see how horrible beat thang is.

  • LMAO THE MAD PRODUCER IS HERE FOR 2012 HE GOT MORE JOHN BLAZE SHIT LMAO!!!!

  • lol @ they cloned him.............

  • Please tell me one thing... Why are you so angry? I just listened to 8:32 of you hating on products that have not even been released yet only to hear you say you are going to buy the renaissance for your studio. You say you need the eye candy in the studio followed by saying you are not impressed by big mixing boards... All a large board is just eye candy unless you are recording a full band so you should love them. Maybe we should wait for the studio & renaissance to be released before we Hate!

  • I can't believe your at it again!!! PLEASE, PLEASE watch my big homie's OverlorBeats video "Akai MPC Renaisance/Studio" And STOP comparing too totally different products!!!

  • "It can't handle your fingers" Hahahah

  • i was crackin up this whole video its so true I bet its junk and buggy

  • @smokedewgbaby32 I mean "MPK 61"

  • @smokedawgbaby32 start with a good pair of monitor speakers. Now with the new MPCs that are coming out see what one is in your budget. your also going to need a keyboard, like a fantom x6. Now I'm using the Beat Thang, but you might want something else. So 1. Beat machine 2. Keyboard 3.Speakers. Also Chech out a "MPK 60" its like a all in one, never had it so do your research.

  • We gone put pressure on these dudes man

  • I'm a beginner and all I have is a dell laptop and FL studio 10 demo downloaded to the computer. I'm very interested in producing beats and I was wondering what all do I need to have equipment wise to produce quality beats???

  • @urbansuburbenz I don't know what you were doing but they load up instantly on mine. Im going to be putting up a video today showing load times a nnd sampling

  • i demo'd a beat thang at a local Best Buy..............it took longer than my 486 from 88 to load a kick drum sample.........

  • Lol

  • @ryanmeursing because I own all of the MPCs as well

  • btw Your the only one with Beath Thang videos on YT. Nough said!

  • Why would I believe someone who owns a Beat Thang?

  • they used that wack beat on purpose. they have to dumb down to their target audience which are young people who have no idea what is wack and what is dope (but check out what the guru wrote lol..word). if they came with some banging stellar dope beat they would be setting the bar too high and alienate the target audience. real hardware will come back, but chances are it will no longer be made by the major companies but by boutique companies like vintage synths, effects etc are now being remade.

  • I just watched a video of ArabbMuzik he look like he was in a hotel getting ready to do a show he had his MPC 2500 on the table and headphones on practicing. Now this is my point he can't do that with the new MPCs they are not stand alone. Now what's going to happen to MPC beat battles? You have to bring your MPC and your laptop if you have a laptop.wtf

  • @dlpeace its great to have the laptop with battles, you can use it with ableton to have the knobs perform certain effects, just they way the mpd32 is being used only better pad quality for example (tried the mpd 32, really has whack quality compared to mpc's).

Plus one thing you cant do on the mpc is upload that many projects in case you want a lotta samples uploaded to switch easily between projects. This is something you'll easily do with the new technology. =) goodbye

  • one. ONE. one.one. ONE. one. TWO. threeeee.

    fucking...

do you know how terrible it is to have that stuck between your ears?

  • D you right bra a board is like a big fuckin mouse you can use your damn mouse to work the faders just like the board lol beat thang nuff said

  • @Yungtj09 what are you talking about its 2012 everything is Digital. You have have no clue what's going on do you? I can work in any studio board or no board. If im called in to mix a track I don't care about your board. I can get the same results using the mouse in pro tools. I hope you agree on this. If not then. Cool

  • "all boards are just mouses for your software" Really? Control Surfaces like the Icon yes are essentially just big controllers for your DAW. But how can SSL or Neve large format consoles be just a mouse for software when they were around before there were even DAWs and can be used with any multitrack recorder whether it be ProTools, A tape machine or hell even an old DAT recorder will be able to work with a SSL or Neve. You call yourself an engineer when you obviously don't know shit about gear.

  • download the jjos xl2 for the mpc 2500 and its limitless

  • the renaissance also has a interface in it. thats why its big. plus you can turn your computer screen off, work off the mpc, then go back to the computer and your beat is on there. no tracking out and all that. not saying its better because i dont know if it is, but akai is just trying to get up to date

  • all i know is when that mpc r come out i gotta have that...

  • Actually you are wrong Sir, The MPC has 16 pads, which is absolutely necessary and very usefull for looping and slicing 2, 4 and 8 bar loops, and cutting ALA autochop into 1 beat sections...Once you have your loop looping correctly, its all up to you...Secondly, more than ANY other machine, the MPC is responsible for more HIT ALBUMS in the rap genre than any other piece of equiptment EVER...PERIOD...

  • for christ's sake "Beat Thang", send this man a tshirt.

  • @YEE941 we got the machine it cool.

  • @yee941 *maschine

  • what do you think about machine,I think its dope

  • YEA THEY KEEP PLAYIN THE WHACK ASS 123 BEAT LOL

  • i think akai fucked up not jumpin on the controller drum machine first! They also fucked up not gettin jeremy ellis endorse it! But to Get a a fake Arrab! And have a wack ass beat for the commercial! Fuckin UP!!!

  • Are you going to kill yourself when all 3 Akai MPCs come out? Jk....I know this got a lot of fools heated! Its going to be a all out battle of the new beat machines in 2012 and beyond!

  • Why are you mad yo? You don't have to buy if. If the beat thang is working out for you, then you should be happy. This piece of equipment if targeted for a different kind of producer.

  • Mpc studio

  • Bra that beat was wack and that move studio is a cloned version on a diet new paint job mpc 500 I agree with u I had all them mpcs also beat thang is where it's at stand alone plus portable it's a wrap

  • Cloned Araab! lol...Good Vid Bro, Im a MPC 2500 user to the death but I appreciate ur opinion D. Big Up 2 U! (PS: U right, that commercial Beat was wack!)

  • @musicfromfriends i was just saying it not far from it. We will see when it hits the streets.

  • i think you are wrong about this will be similar to the mpc 500. 4x4 pads plus more controls, a nice display and slim body is totally not the mpc 500.
