Even though I like them both, I prefer Barnes. I like his stage presence, lows, screams, and facial expressions while playing live lol. I was just watching some SFU videos last night. Not really into the music that they play, but I just love how Barnes is with the crowd and his killer vocals.

He is probably in c#, it's used in a lot of deathmetal it's two steps down from standard, or one and a half I cant remember.
