I think Rory Stewart may be the most impressive Briton to have emerged over the last 40-50 years. Erudite, thoughtful and with experience of & an interest in things way beyond most career politicians. He'd probably make an excellent PM with experience in government, but no doubt other more ruthless, less principled people will climb the greasy pole ahead of him, helped hugely by Britain's compromised, self-serving and discredited political system.
