This is an amazing tune. I wish I were around in the mid 90s so my appreciation of this band still meant something. Its sad that so many amazing bands that arose during this period in music were swept under the carpet, even though their influence can still be felt to this day. I can totally hear Mystery Machine in a lot of modern Canadian bands. Especially Alexisonfire, Here's hoping great guitar music never fades.
@bryanddd I'm from Chilliwack myself. It's awesome to see my hometown in such an awesome music video. Man do I ever miss those mountains. and the way Chilliwack used to be for that matter.
@withinspace i spent loads of time in Chilliwack when I was growing up. Every time I drive through Chilliwack, that cowshit smell really brings back good memories. I remember seeing Mystery Machine play in Kamloops in '95, they were really great guys and put on a brilliant show.
@SubmergedRecords I hear ya, but everything? Naw, there's definitely more to their sound than that. Sonic Youth is an obvious one, especially in this track.
One of the greatest guitar instrumentals...they were wayyyyyy ahead of their time. Totally underatted. Saw them live in Toronto...my God man....they were just as thick live.
I first heard of this band on the fear of a flat planet snowboard video and immediately went out and bought this cd. My friend Chris and I played the hell out of this cd in 1993/1994.
early 90's,snowboard video, fear of a flat planet.this song was in it,lengendary vid awesome song from great b.c. band.found some links to older albums like glazed from there myspace site.
My best friend Jay shot this video for Mystery Machine when he was working for Nettwerk...being pushed in a wheelchair with a camera....great song, great band, great video...
Mystery Machine has a new EP coming out in 2012. I'm actually interviewing Luke about it tonight!

Loved Glaze, and was fortunate enough to see these guys in the ealryish 90's, maybe 94.
Anyways, did you see the price of gas in this video? 49.9 and we were bitching then.

I remember this video being included on the CD for 10-Speed. It was the first time I had ever owned an "enhanced CD" as they used to call them.

The Swervedriver of Canada. I mean that in a good way, but really... they learned everything they knew from Swervedriver.
