I live in Memphis TN, and for kids watching,the last one was in 1811 and they happen every 500 years because the on before that was in 1311 1312 so the next one is going to be in:a long time

Don't bet on that. We had a 3.7 two days ago and a 5.4 in 1968. It can happen anytime despite the 500 year cycle.

We live four miles south of the State Line by the air base and got hammered as well. No power for a week. Drove through New Madrid Saturday, it was really bad. Thanks for visiting and please tell your friends.

This is all New Madrid is ever going to amount to. An earthquake that happened in 1811. It's 2008, go to New Madrid today and tell me if it's worth caring about. That earthquake didn't do it's job, New Madrid still exsist. But I'm being a jerk, but I lived in New Madrid for 22 years and still could care less about anything related to it.

I've never been to New Madrid, but I do know that it was an important town on the Mississippi during the Civil War in regard to the capture of Island No. 10. But you just keep living in your little world of self-loathing, bubba.
