The first time I heard this song it was played during the film credits at the end of the movie 'Valley Girls' which I think was Nicholas Cages first film, it was so popular that much later they did this version, like you i have been trying to find the CD and I think my eldest son has found it so "Watch This Space", Rabbie Australia.

Oh I understand what you were trying to say. I agree there may be a lack of creativity in the music scene, but you shouldn't say it is because they are playing covers. In fact, Reel Big Fish does an excellent cover of "Take on Me" (originally performed by A-Ha). They add there own spin and sound. I used to think the same thing but there is merit to all popular artists nowadays. Even though music was better in different eras, you should respect people like Panic at the Disco and Miley Cyrus.
