you are a very good drummer i like very much what you play.. i am drummer too i am from paraguay and i'm living in argentina now.. I love jazz please check out my videos and let mi know what you think..
These drums are not my regular gig setup. This is a mid-class Premier set I used in my drumstudio with 18x16 bass, 12x10 tom, 14x14 standtom and a 14x5 snare - all wood (maple & something else mix), black piano finish.
Heads are all Remo Ambassador.
Cymbals are: 20" very old Zildjian with 2 rivets, 19" Istanbul "Mel Lewis" Ride, some thin 14" Istanbul HiHats. (I've now found a matching 18" Zildjian, very old, which I now use instead of the 19".)
You're so great. I know you can play the "Take 5" (by Dave Brubeck) also on drums. I am not a musician but I can recognize a good musician (like you). Thanks.
You are a dumbass... and obviously not a good drummer. Jazz is the core of everything... and Jazz drumming will teach you more technique than you could ever imagine playing.
you are an idiot. maybe if you knew anything about drumming you'd realize the technique and rhythm he's using is beyond that of any rock drummer. there's more to drumming than just banging, buddy.

The 20" is an old K, very thin, a bit broken, very dry sound, must not be hit too hard... :-)

I love the traditional jazz style. Never learned it growing up in the fusion era. Decent post, thanks.

how do you get your toms to sound like that?
MNorton89 5 years ago
pretty nice, but man, lay some space in there for us. gotta work on your phrasing. not just relentless chopping away.
also, the sound is delayed here, i think.
good to see a jazzer though. thanks.
