If you play CoD or Battlefield, and you're only using that as your source of weapon terminology, then you should probably just not comment. Seriously, there's a good chance you don't know what you're talking about.
@TheReaper951 It depends on exactly how you're looking at it. By definition of civilian and legal terminology, it's a machine gun, anything that fires more than one round per trigger pull by definition is. If you're thinking about it in military terms, the M16 is an assault rifle. But in this case it's chambered for .22LR, meaning its a submachine gun. Even in military terms, submachine guns are classified as machine guns. Technically, there's no one weapon type classified as "machine gun."
For ut info idiot the term m4 was invented by Colt and when other companies started using the name there was a huge lawsuit and in the end m4 became the common name of the gun. What u hav is NOT an m16 lower with a 22lr upper! It is an M4 CHAMBERED IN (for you it is converted to 22lr but) 22lr! I know what im talking about buddy. I still giving u a thumbs up though.
@Jake6comments LOL. M4 was the military's designation. i.e. before it was the m3a1 "grease gun" and before it the m14 m1 garand, and so forth. You are talking out of your ass and do not know a damned thing. An ar-15 style rifle is more legos than anything else. Anyone that actually owns something similar knows this instantly. If I want I can put a 22lr bolt conversion in my 5.56 upper and it will shoot 22lr with the correct magazine. Go back and play some more airsoft, or call of duty man
@Jake6comments it was invented by armalite, which sold there rights over to colt,
btw i cant agree or disagree with you because i dont understand what your trying to say, lol
m16's were full auto when they came out, then convertedto 3shot burst. some have both. same with m4's some are semi, full and 3shot. if you own a legal full auto lower im pretty sure its reg as a full auto m16 lower and it's pre ban, meaning you owned it before the assault rifle ban.
I comment in terms to the description, the M4 isnt just a measuring term but the biggest difference between the M4 and M16 is the gas return system, on the M4 its stronger because the gases are more intense by the time they go in it versus the M16
@RYDERkN this is also a bad thing, you can get more life from a 20" then a 16" carbine. the closer the gas port is to your receiver the more harm/wear it will do to your BCG. the closer your gas port is the more pressure it sent to the BCG.
the biggest dif between the m4 and m16 styles are that the m4 is a 16" carbine with adjustable stock's, making the rifle easy for CQB in city's ect, m16 is 20" barrel with a a1 or a2 fix stock, this makes the O.A rifle alot bigger then a m4.
@sharper1106 you are very wrong, there are M16s with retractable stocks, and M4s with fixed stocks, the gas return system isnt a problem because its built to take it, so its life is just as long if not longer than an M16s
@RYDERkN lol ive had years of building rifles, mainly ar's years of reloading and casting my own bullets ect. anybody and everybody knows the stocks between the ar/m4/m16 are change able. anybody who builds ar's and handload's knows the closer the gas port is the faster it will wear due to pressure and gas entering the chamber faster and harder, a SBR model that has a gas port closer to the receiver VS a 20" barrel which the port is alot farther away you'll get more life from the 20"
@RYDERkN regardless, you clearly dont know what your talking about so do research before you come by on youtube and bash someones helpful advince which is true. do the research and know whats logic. im not gonna agrue with you over youtube, just for anybody reading this in questioning, research and you'll find what im saying to be true, just friendly advise from a builder, take care
@RYDERkN i doubt your in school to be a gunsmith, i dont doubt that your still in school those. so if you clame you know as much as you know. then you must have builds and "real" rifles, not airsoft. i wanna see proof your in gunsmith school because ill call them my self and talk to your "teacher" when the gasport is closer to the receiver there is more pressure hitting the bcg, this makes the bolt NOT last a long, can you guess what happens? doubt it. the lugs can break off of the bolt
@sharper1106 (cont) is just as strong when it comes to the gas system as a standard length M16. The barrel could be a mile long with an M4 but what matters is how far away the gas return port is. With an M4, a gas return port 10" away is going to have the guns gas system be stronger than one with it 1" away, same with the M16.
I have noticed a substantial lack of gun videos on your page, I find it intriguing.
I have nothing more to say, because you are coming off to be what they call a "troll".
which to due to high pressurer. this happens VERY often with ar15's in dif cals like 7.62x39r or a 6.8, the bolt will last roughly 2k-3k, but can last more. all depends on the quality of the bolt. but rather you want to believe it on not. the closer the gas port is the more harm it does to the bolt.
your making this into rocket science so i can only wounder ifyou work for NASA?.
P.S dont forget me, i wanna see pictures of current builds. otherwise, dont talk...........
@sharper1106 First off dont expect any personal information such as my Instructors name my Class Etc. I am not going to hand that out over youtube.
When the "M4" was being developed, they were trying to achieve a more compact gun yes, after they tested the gun they found the gas return system was too weak for the length of the barrel. SO what they did is they modified it and beefed it up so that It could handle the pressure. This being, A standard issue M4 of standard length of ~14" (cont)
@xsnowxdemonx Only the M16A4 and M16A2 are (technically) Full Auto M16's. That being said, any M16, whether it be A1, A2, A3, or A4 can be changed into full auto with a modification of the fire select lever. Completely illegal for civilians, but that wouldn't matter in war, would it?
@Arathlo Actually several states allow civillian ownership of fully automatic weapons, provided they are full-transferable examples. That is being registered by the ATF and on the NFA registry before May of 1986. There is a fixed supply, and more and more people every day that want them. Thusly, the prices keep going up and up.
to all the ppl who were trying to be smart asses, Please read description u got OWNED and this is prolly the gun vid with silencer and she actually shot the damn thing
Goddamn three year olds and their video game knowledge. Anyway, very cool video it looks and runs like a beauty, bet all that paper work for that was a bitch though. Cheers!
@dafranx Looks like a full auto (M16 type) lower with either a dedicated .22 upper or a conversion kit. They were using the early version of a Black Dog mag. The newer version looks like a standard AR magazine. The suppressor makes the .22 rnd. sound like a pellet gun. Nice stream of brass out the side.
I dont know why your comment got 6 thumbs downs, cause your right its not. an m-16 is a ar-15 variant, not anywhere near whats in the video as far as black rifles goes. but thats just being technical... most all are the same internally, just the configuration of stock/handguards/barrel that designates the model.
Dont have to call them, I used to work for them, I carried a m-4 for 3 years, after that I carried a M240B. if you had a clue you would know the difference. owned.
thats an m4 she is firing. an m16 has a longer barrel. the m16's in vietnam claimed to need no maintenance and so noone cleaned their rifles. so they jamed alot.
I had a chance to fire a CAR-16 set up the same way. It is an expensive novelty item that gets old soon. What was surprising was that it never jammed like the Vietnam era M-16s firing 5.56 rounds did. I guess it is more than a toy, considering.
The one you were shooting was probably cleaned and serviced, and shooting decent ammo... unlike the ones in Nam. They were abused and forgotten, then expected to work flawlessly.
The guy that owned the one that I had fired put over 2500 5.56 rounds through the same CAR with out cleaning it , and it never jammed..... Eugene Stoner designed the weapon to utilize stick powder made by Winchester Western, but the government had a contract with Olin and they were using ball type powder, during the Vietnam war. I used one of the things for 13 months and I know of a lot of Marines that died because of the piss poor powder . Ask any Marine that carried one in Vietnam.
thats a 22LR conversion.... thought she would be select-firing .223

@danial54 That's not a clip, it's a magazine, and it's been converted to fire .22LR. It's still an AR-15 variant, just with interchanged parts.
