If it ever becomes hard to start clean up the pick up points [ was my only head ache with this bike lol] . Oh yeh the tank used to make a clucking sound after riding it [Needed breather for the tank ]. FZR600 forks fit straight on if ever you hit a wall on it - ask my mate Bill lol. Ride safe

I owned one of these from 92-'03. Small, quick, and had plenty of power but I hated the bike compared to my other for two reasons: 1. The range absolutely sucked. I could only go about 100 miles on my 3 gallon tank, and 2. The seat was as comfortable as sitting on a brick.
I owned a red 1986 and put 24,000 miles on it. It was a fine, fine motorcycle and, along with two Honda Nighthawk CB700SCs that I owned, is the main reason that I own a 2008 Suzuki Bandit 1250S today. There is nothing like a good four-cylinder sport standard.
I got one back in 91 and put SOS Priority lites on it, plexistar windshield and rode the hell out of it. NY City parking violations took it for unpaid tickets. $700 custom paint job!
