And she is pretty creapy in that chapter. I recomend the show, i love it. It can be hard to follow in the begining but in the second season you'll understand everything and you will love it!! :D

its funny how people dont even realize keichi hallucinates this happening as soon as rena gets those cat-like eyes...he starts seeing things instead of what is actually happening. That's why rena is all nice until she randomly has cat eyes, cause his madness starts kicking in. That's also why keichi couldn't find the needle he thought he had found in the rice balls.

@TheDeeOfJay I am playing the visual novel and I've barely made it through the first arc so far (this one), so I can't really say for sure; but as Keichi thought about that, he stated it might be possible that she waited for him to finish his call and then might've just left because it took so long (or maybe she felt offended/scared that he got to know about the things they kept from him, so she thought he might be mad? They might explain it later in the VN, especially in the Kai arcs.

I don't remember how it plays out in the anime anymore, but in the VN, she starts to pursue him, telling him that she is the only one that can help him (because she knows about the syndrome). She tells him that when it happened to Satoshi, she promised to herself that she'd help the person it would happen to next. But Kei was afraid, imagining she was crazy.

He then gets attacked by the men in suits (Tokyo?), but when he wakes up at home, Rena is with him and she asks him how come he doesn't remember that he walked home with her support - and that there were no men, of course. And well, you know what happens next when Mion makes her way there. :C

Almost all of the parts where Rena and Mion are being "insane" in the first arc is basically Keiichi's delirious mind. When you learn that you really feel pity for Rena who even got her hand smashed for doing nothing but bringing food to the guy she likes as an act of goodwill. (or being brutally murdered after saving his life literally some moments before)
