They keep signing big players and managers to counter Barcelona and only Barcelona. Real should really revise its approach to the game by giving more attention to their youth academy like Barcelona does. They keep spending money on big players like Kaka and not winning trophies which affects the financial balance and and put it in red. They spent £482 millions on the current squad and so far they managed to win la Copa del Rey, money well spent I guess!! Casillas, Arbeloa,Granero backup keeper Antonio Adan are the only youth system products remaining in the senior squad. So the future is not really bright.

For instance in Spain the priority is la Liga then la Copa del Rey, in England it's the Premiership title, the FA Cup and lastly the Carling Cup. I am sure Real Madrid fans would be more content with winning la Liga (which is still possible) than la Copa del Rey.
