  • this game is on CD or what ?

  • @MrSimonmaster Its on the blue disc that the PS2 was using very early on, but they quickly changed to dvd's.

  • Why can't people make games likes this anymore? It had great characters, insanly epic humor, really great story line, and it was inspired by one of the coolest movies of all time! sure, it lacked in gameplay alittle, horrable camra controls, and over used the loading screen, but it was AWESOME!! I mean what other game names one of the ghosts you fight Chicken Chicken?

  • Sequal on the ps3 would rock my socks

  • I miss this game.. A remake on either DS/#DS or PSP/Vita would be amazing :D

  • Dude, this game was like a stepping stone in my childhood. It was the first real RPG i had ever actually played. Its funny to think if i hadn't played it i might be sitting around playing COD or racing games or some crap like that XDD

  • Nostalgia. One of my favorite games as a little boy.

  • Just bought this, I think I'll like it ;3

  • @DonkeyPunchForLunch You will my friend!

*spoiler* Depending on which anwsers you give through the story, you can get a special item or stat boost.

  • I want this game now!

  • When he started talking about the funny aspects, I immediately thought of the gravestones outside Ari's house.

  • The main selling point of this game is the storyline. There's really nothing else like it, and if there is, it can't possibly hope to match the amount of weird humor that this game musters.

Normal combat can be a little boring or tedious, but the boss fights are amazing.

    Excellent review!

  • @Snipaofdeth94

Don't forget the art. It completely matches the vibe given throughout the game of wonderfully weird.

  • @wildperson

    That's very true.

All in all, if you don't want to admit it's a great game, anyone has to admit that it's unique.

  • This is a awesome game i love playing it. It can be hard and i struggle a little bit but i like it. and i think its pronounced Okawdge

  • man-eating onion...

  • My favorate lines from the game:

    Princess:You! Ari! Shine my shoes!

Ari: I don't think hell has frozen over yet...

  • I thought it was pronounced (Okawdge) O.o

  • Why did i have to lose this videogame?!

  • @Aquariousi

I found it at a Gamestop for $2. It was so cheap, I was thinking of buying another just for the heck of it.

  • I wish they made a PSP port of the game, this was a game I played as a child, and I loved every second of it, that is until I got to a certain part of the game (right after either the aquatic ruins or that gear city, I think..) and I got frustrated and stopped playing after looking around everywhere for that person.

  • @Riikathezombie01 forgot to add the fact that I still love this game even if I got stuck on that part. and the fact that I put the game somewhere and never found it until a few years later I did, but the PS2 broke before I found it so I never got past that part. and that's why I wish they made a PSP port of this game.

  • I loved this game. The only time I got pissed off at it was when I got hit with the 13 hour glitch. :(

  • see this is what a review of a agme should be. Nowadays gamespots reviews suck. they either compare the games too much or just assign someone who obviously never played a single game from that genre to review the game and they subsequently give it a bad review. The founders of Gamespot like this guy really knew how to give a good review.

  • HERE IS MY WASTED CHILDHOOD TRYING TO PLAY THIS DAMN GAME! i want to but this game again and send it to AVGN so he can review it. this game is good but whenever i play it it gives me an eerie feeling. whenever you see the ghosts or the lack of vocals just sends a shiver up my spine

  • i knew this girl that could translate pig latin

  • Like Legend of Legia for the PS1 this is going to be on my hunt down and buy list.

  • me to

  • i miss this game.

  • I love this game I still have it with me even though my Ps2 is in my basement somewhere. I loved how when you first see the second boss they call him weirdo and when rosylin talks to you in the dark you choose the choices where you think your gonna go at it :3

  • I remember getting this game awhile back.. Played for alittle bit.. I'm pretty sure we returned it.. Too bad it was fun from what I remember..

  • It's a shame since the company that made this game went bankrupt a while back. I don't think we'll ever see a sequel ;_;

  • This is the funniest game I ever played, but it had its share of downers... the load times for going into every house and shop, the difficulty in avoiding any unwanted battles, and how hard it got at the end. I never made it through the library even though I had put in the time to level up my characters and not take the lazy way. You really get to care about the little band of adventurers though.

  • his lip bugs me

  • I used to play this game all the time as a child.

I'm looking for a new copy of it online so buy again.

  • I never understood this game. I loved it, but never understood how to get through the game, I just bumbled through the game but got stuck at the part with the gears.

  • God I love this game. I'm planning on working on a comic about it. More or less just a fan comic about it, but it would be in context. I can't stand when people do fanfictions and comics and it's nothing like the actual characters -_-

  • Oh Shoot. .___.

  • man, I used to love that game!

  • recently bought it and played it all the way through. i had it as a child and never finished it, so there was something nostalgic as i played it again. and i guess a bit of closure on beating it as well lol

  • I love the game, I hate the dungeons, so lame!

  • Wow. Mr. Enthusiastic!

  • I remember this game, I thought it was really weird when I played it.

  • I also pronounced it as Oak-idge. Oh-KAH-gay sounds......well, gay.

  • I always pronounced it as oak-idge

  • I'm still pronouncing it as Oak- idge

  • @DiggityDoglikeDogg me too :D

  • Well it's a good thing you're a moron then. It' a Japanese word and that's the way it's pronounced, so you're pronouncing the word wrong intentionally and you're an idiot.

  • @TheReturnofDogen oh shut up and go play your pokeman.

  • Me and the satan king sounds cooler

  • haha i deleted my process on my internal memory and when you hit delete stan cowers on the ground and hold his hands up lol :) i miss this game

  • I miss this game so much. I had it for awhile but when I moved I lost my copy. Anyone know where I can get a working copy nowadays?

  • I got one from gamestop used for $5.99 today, you can check there.

  • my favorite game of all time :)

  • damn i miss this game soo much it was one of my favorite games ever, me and my sister played the crap out of it but it broke after we got to the part where you need to talk to everyone in the game.

  • It's pronounced Oh- kah- gay? Lmao I've been pronouncing it Oak- Age.

  • same. Although maybe a bit more.... natural. Like Oak-ij

  • Who gay?

  • This game would have been top-tier if it wasn't not for the repetitive battles and dungeons. The plot, humor, graphic style and music is awesome, though.

  • i love this game so much XD

  • ¿is for ps2 or ps1?

  • its for the ps2

  • Ps2

  • It kills me that I lost my copy.

    Its style was so sweet.

Though I always remembered it having a jazzy soundtrack. Weird.

  • I <3 this game

  • Wow, I made a connection between the style of this game and Nightmare Before Christmas already, haha! It also has a faint homage to Harvest Moon-style games.

  • I hope there's a sequel! Watched a lets play, this game is awesome! And it IS SO FUNNY! Currently trying to get my hands on a copy :3

  • i have this game

  • isn't there a sequal coming out, now that the comp. that made it is now back and running, they updated their website.

  • idk maybe

  • One of my favorite games!

although, i never completely finished it

  • this is a great game, hands down

  • there should be a sequal for this game

  • Yes, there should be.

  • @uraha1 there is !

it's called the nightmare before christmas !

    lol but seriously...

    there should be :/

  • @uraha1 I agree to that to one of my favorite RPG games

  • I love this game

  • Saw that game in the store once but never bought it for some reason.
