  • ive owned this tv for less then 3 month and already my black level went from pure black to a dark grey. im not impressed to say the least. its going to be my first and last panasonic plasma

  • @Pinhead222 It's freaken amazing for video games! :)

  • hope panasonic doesnt stop making these sets. sans 3d! thumbs up @ 01:37

  • @Iamthelaw1526 yeah i know dude im just saying that plasmas have a bad rep even though its a way better technology than LCDs

  • @Iamthelaw1526 well i mean plasmas are still superior than any other tech but the bad rep like screen burning short half life as well as more power usage make it look bad even though they have pretty much fixed those issues

  • @Iamthelaw1526 But I watched Machete last night with my PS3 on Blu-ray disc but it was'nt really blu-ray technology if you ask me ... It looked more like DVD technology ..... what do you think ? Not all Blu-ray movies LOOL LIKE blu-ray , right ??

  • @sheppardtrooper yeah thats true. some websites have a list detailing if a blu ray movie is true high def or just upgraded dvd version.

  • @Iamthelaw1526 Its almost as if Plasma makes the games appear in 3D mode ... And Gears of War 2 on a G25 Viera is stone-cold crazy ..I've used your settings and I say a BIG thanx ! ...But , I cannot find any ''Gamma'' or ''Black etx'' or ''AGC'' or '' Panel Brightness'' settings on my Viera ... Does my TV even have those choices of settings ? ... Also, are all blu-ray movies the same when it comes to image-detail ? I know Batman the Darknight is really well made for blu-ray but .....

  • @Iamthelaw1526 Hi friend - I got my 54' Plasma installed yesterday and let me tell u its freakin huge ! My living room is small and my viewing distance is rougly 8 feet .. I like it that way, makes me feel that Im at the movie theatres ..

I've used your settings and they are absolutely fantastic ! The Plasma technology is OUT-of-this-WORLD... I've never seen my 360 games look so good until now ... The details, the colors, the depth ... its freakin sweet .... Plasma is really the way to go !

  • @Iamthelaw1526 So I will keep you posted buddy .... and now what about my 360 settings ? My new plasma TV must make me change my TV display settings on my 360 aswell ?

  • @Iamthelaw1526 I always try to finish any game I play and get 1000 gamerscore as most as I can ... That means I can be playing the same game for more than a month straight....When I'm really done with it ,I move on to the next game ... That's how I play ... They are delivering my TV on friday , and the tech-guy is coming and install it on saturday ... When the TV will be set-up I will use your settings that you've given me and I will let you know how how it went and how sick it looks ...

  • @Iamthelaw1526 Before buying my Panasonic , I already own a Samsung 40' LCD .... I bought it over 3 years ago and I've played 100's of hours with my 360 .... Nothing ever happened... zippo ... I know Plasmas are fragile but I wanted this time the best possible TV for my 360 games ... AND YES Gears of War 2 is totally sick , as grafix are concerned an dof course gameplay wise ... Its gotta be the nicest looking game on the 360 .Period ...But I dont like to rotate games ..

  • @Iamthelaw1526

Hey man -thanx for your help !! I was about to buy a DVD calibration kit but I guess I dont need it now ...

So what your saying is even after the 100 hours break-in period , I can only play my 360 games for about 2-4 hours a day ? Man that's rough ! What if I play 5 hours or more in a day , or what if I play 5 hours straight , will that do damage to my plama TV ? I dont want to ruin a 1700$ investment becuase I ''over-played'' with my 360 ...

Thanx for your replies friend ..

  • @Iamthelaw1526 hi , I just bought the Panasonic 54' plasma G25 viera ... I bought it becuase I wanted a kick-ass Plasma TV to play my Xbox 360 on .... It's my First plasma TV so what settings do you recommend for my Viera ?

I want the best possible contrast so that my 360 games can look as sick as possible .... and also, how do I ''break-in'' the TV so that I dont leave Burn-ins on the screen ? I heard it takes about 100 hours of proper break-in time for the TV to be safe from harm ....thanx

  • @Iamthelaw1526 sweet thanks for great info im gonna get it as soon prices fall around $600 so far on amazon its like $780 hopefully they will have a sale after Christmas or something :D

  • i would buy it in a heartbeat if the black wouldn't fade out.
