Gandhian principles are good on paper, but they are socialist in nature which wont get India anywhere. But on the other hand M10663, the cultural heritage is not meaningless and primitive. Certain social practices were, and still are, and these have/are being phased out. But the culture is still important.

There are a lot of smart Indians because there are a lot of Indians. If you have over a billion people then you are gonna have a lot more smart people than an country like Switzerland which only has 7.6 million people. But is the AVERAGE Indian smarter than the average Swiss? I don't think so and that's what really counts. I've been to both countries and if I had to live in either, I'd choose Switzerland in a microsecond. So it's a lot more complicated that the total number of smart people.

I can't seem to read anything that says anything other than the fact that Indians are the smartest people on the planet. There seem to be a lot of smart Indians around.
