  • you put the base coat right over the alcohol??

  • Question, I bought everything including the same lamp you're featuring. I need to know if I can use nail tips? I don't have any nails so i'm wondering if I apply the tips, can I then continue with the process as if they're my natural nails. I have an electric file which I will use to blend the nail tip with my natural nail, then cut them short with the nail tip cutter.

  • I have the same lamp as you got it from Amazon for a great price I was just watching to compare/get ideas and i will have to buy some wipes, they look like they would be great for nail art too, no cotton lint! I stamped over my nails with konad and ordinary seche vite top coat to seal nail art.

  • your nails are beautiful

  • @sonjalfoster I have a 9 volt, it works fine for me!

  • does gel nail polish last longer on natural nail or regular nail polish last longer??? i wait to do my hand but the nail polish doesn't last an day cuz i do alots of cook/touch water most of the time... any 1 know help share..

  • @baby1a3 Gel nail polish lasts a little over a week without chipping.

  • Loved this tutorial. Was easy to understand and straight to the point. Watched others but LOVED this one. THANKS!!!!!

  • please stop replaying the same 30 seconds ofeach song it is so bothersome

  • Love the video!

  • I bought the 9G uv light that comes with the mini set. Do you think this will work or do I need to get a stronger light?

  • @sonjalfoster lots of people said its not very good, I had one and I hated how you couldn't do all 5 fingers at once I had it for other reasons though so I can't tell u if it cures though Gelish says it works the same amount of time as a UV lamp

  • Great video can you use regular polish when you are done? How do they hold up in water or hard use? What about dog washing? Thank you

  • Great tutorial! Thank you so much for posting. I will definitely get the lint free pads before I do the next application. Your website is very nice too! Lots of great info.

  • hola me gustaria saber en donde puedo adquirir el producto pues soy de mexico y aca es muy caro gracias....

  • Awesome tutorial. Thanks, I am now ready.

  • After you file and everything then you wipe off the residue can you just use cotton balls?

  • TY!!! I had just applied nail gel for the 1st time following all steps with constant tackiness. Now I understand why. Kept reapplying lights to remove tackiness and realize wasn't necessary. I've heard removal gel can be difficult. Any suggestions?

  • horrible application!

  • love that it supposed to be from a teacher, but it is all the Wrong terminology.

  • @jessknepper Hahahah, I was just about to make the exact same comment! It's horrible to hear how she repeat nailbed when she's actually talking about the nailplate, and nailtip when she's referring to the free-edge. Funny enough the "teacher" also forgot to wipe off the tacky residue with a dry/lintfree nailwipe after curing the foundation gel. What a teacher!

  • @SnuggleSmurf Stop hating! She is taking time out to show this tutorial to us, if you don't like it! Keep on moving! If you have NOTHING Nice to say DON'T Say it all ALL!

  • Calm down, I don't have anything negative to say about her using her time to make tutorials! But it's just a fact that she obviously can't be a teacher when she use a variety of wrong terms in her videos, she shouldn't try to teach others about things that she don't even have a clue about herself!

  • @SnuggleSmurf She was probably just trying to use language that everyone could understand. After all this video is for non-professionals.

  • Thank you, that was very helpful. I just have one question, what happens if you get some on your skin and leave it ?

  • OMG! Talk about "in your face!" Next time hire someone without a wart on their hand, for an instructional video, and I could watch the whole thing!

  • Between step 4 and 5 you did n t remove exess of foundation with a clean brush? That s how i learned, will they last if you do it this way? I use a clean soft brush and after putting them in uv to cure foundation i remove sort of exess cured foundation. If you watch the Nail and Harmony Gelish vid you will have a clue what i'm saying. Anyway love your work =)

  • @ajvfx shellac now requires to buff nail bed because it will just peel off if u don't gelish is better though

  • thanks for showing this video. i have a question can u be able to do this with a 9 watt uv lamp.. i saw this at sallys and they had this little paper for u to take home and it also say it could be done with a 9-watt uv lamp or and LED lamp? thanks

  • @Mrsdarkness2011 No, you'll need a 36 watt UV lamp, which means that it has to have 4x 9 watt bulbs.

  • I can't seem to get the c oats to cure. I buff my natural nail, clean with alcohol, apply avery thin coat of foundation gel, put my hands into a36w UV lamp for 120 seconds. Nut, for some reason the polish isn't curing. It still doesn't cure when i do it for an additional 120 seconds. What am I missing here????

  • @TaraAnnRad I had the same problem. Use rubbing alcohol or cleaner after all steps completed. Tackiness will be gone!

  • As soon as I saw you buffing the nail I'm out. Shellac at least doesn't require you to do this. How does this affect your nails after several manicures? Not good.

  • Nice wart!!!!

  • @buttarsa1 FUNNY!!!

  • U can get Gelish supplies at Sally Beauty.
