Ive dated a religious freak like this! I left his ass 2 years ago and never looked back! Sometimes religious people are just sociopaths and narcissists!
He can't express his emotions so it turns into frustration. This manifests itself into degrading her & making her feel worthless like he feels about himself. He's religious so he has strong beliefs abt the roles of men & women. Women are submissive. Men are the providers. Since lost his job, he feels emasculated. He can't express this so he must constantly force her into being submissive validating he's masculinty and showing to her & himself that he's the "man".
@dmelenaster You must be right about this...It's terrible how men put the heaviest pressure on themselves and it always seems to create a great load of problems for women. Sometimes I'm ashamed of that because I feel like men have bullied women on this Earth way too much, for way too long...Because of their fear of weakness, hence their own lack of confidence !

A husband and a wife are supposed to be one....two flesh become one flesh...any decent Christian knows that....this guy does not understand that fully and sadly neither does the wife (him more so than her), hopefully they could work things out. The Bible is VERY SPECIFIC about how husbands should treat their wives...they should be treated like queens as God sees women as something greater than any precious treasure in this world, the Bible speaks VERY highly of women believe it or not :-)
