Crysis Runs 1680:1050 with all settings on 'HIGH' so i think that would work on your system.

i will get that game tomorrow, but i think it will run on highest settings on your and on my pc ;D

@sicorange3 Forget the core2duo and go for the quad core mate :)

Core 2 is old tech now and not much of an upgrade, quad cores like the Q**00 series will fit into the same motherboards and will set you back only £100.

Wont go into details but motherboards have 'sockets' for the CPU which will be one of 3 types, 775, 1156 or 1366 and Processors will only fit into the correct socket. Core 2 is old now and will likely be 775 but possibly 1156. Get yourself a Quad core 775 CPU and enjoy :D

You will probably get better performance with a faster processor but the 5400 is not that bad I think but I don't know much about the AMD processors. And unless you will be playing at resolutions over 1080p I would recommend going for the 512mb version of the 4870 because from the benchmarks I have seen it's not much better until very high resolutions and even then not by much ;) unless you can get the 1gb version at a similar price ofc ;)

weird about my hd4870oc version..i had turned all setting on max and it seems i have a bit reduced frame rate when playing, especially it gets laggy when im viewing around the flames, you got any idea?

hmm, what resolution are you playing on? try turning down antialiasing because it is very bad optimized for this game :P

no, it happened once i turned vert. synchronizing on (with all the nice graphic, especially on reflecting), then it started to crash my graphic card (too much work for the card?)

sounds wierd, but the vsync limits the framerate to your monitors refresh rate ( mine is 60 hertz) so in my case the framerates don't go over 60fps. But sometimes it goes lower in this game when I had antialiasing to the highest quality so I lowered it abit and now its fine...
