Dude, being a professional tattoo artist, You should know that spring tension regulates the speed of the machine, not the contact screw. Positioning of the screw against the spring will give you a slight speed adjustment, but spring weight is the major factor in getting your machine to reach the appropriate speed for what you are trying to do. For all that can't find this info, a Liner should be at least 120 CPS I run my shader at 95 and My color packer at 100 or so. Voltage varies...

@1stdarknightslayer All machines run as well as they are set up. , With the right tuning, you can make a chinese paperweight run like a dream, or that 400 dollar machine run like shite. Color packer should have a long throw and a medium to soft hit. Should never use a liner to do full color fill, as the speed is too fast and will overwork the skin. Technique is the major factor in how well the ink flows though.

you didnt mention when you bend the back spring you should measure it with a gauge liners shaders and packers all have a different tention and contact gap any fool can bend a spring or turn a contact screw
