I pay for Weight Watchers. I've counted my calories, I've watched what I eat. I failed for two years trying that way, but so far Weight Watchers is working for me, and I think it's well worth the money!

I feel that it's best to not complicate things. When you try and juggle too much it just sets you up for failure. So I am just eating less and moving more.
I think whatever plan works for you is what you go with. I like to know I "can" have something but choose not to eat it rather than feel I'm "not allowed" to eat it. Chances are I'd eat it and then feel horrible about it. That's no way to live your life.
The funny thing about calories in/out is that your body is constantly adjusting the amount of calores out - if you put less in it will put less out accordingly. That's what makes weightloss hard to maintain and so easy to gain it back plus more. The only way to really maintain metabolism while losing fat is to gain muscle!
This video is getting favourited for so many reasons. The first, I am winging it too! I've never been one that could follow one of the plans...I just know what foods work with my metabolism and which ones don't. I would love to get mine tested so I will look out for your video on that. Another thing is that on my "plan" I just eat low sugar so that might mean having soy yogurt instead of ice cream...stuff like that. You really have to do what works but at the end of the day it really is D&E!

as for my plan, i'm wingin it kinda like ur sayin... 40 pounds gone, u cant tell me im not onto something here :o) its pretty basic. Im not denying myself foods, but when i eat not so healthy I force my mindset to say burn more calories next time to make up for it. Its like taking care of ur body as a seperate "entity" and nurturing it as u would a pet.. lol as silly as it sounds, its an entire mindset change thats working for me.
yayy its so true, we all know the "secret".. its a simple solution, with a tough road to get there. But hello, we r willing to spend eons of money to try to get there a quick way rather than invest time and dedication to get there effectively? Ugh we are to be shamed! glad u r getting your mentality set mandy cuz i absolutely adore everything u do for us and u deserve the best for urself!

I have one thought though, in order to get away from the thought of wanting a certain food.... you have to WANT to lose weight, get healthier, get stronger MORE than you want that certain food. even when one 'allows' food that isn't healthy, it can cause the body, biochemically to 'crave' more of that food. Sugar, processed carbs can do that. I lost 160 lbs. first 100 by medifast, last 60 counting cal/carbs. kept if off for almost 4 years now. have 20 more to go. great video.

I completly agree about not depriving yourself. everything in moderation. You are so right!! when i say i can't eat chocolate, i will go on a chocolate binge.
I've tried so many things and the only thing that has worked for me was Sure Slim. I got to the lightest I'd been in years and years, since I could remember. Only thing is, it's not a realistic lifestyle diet choice, so to maintain it is just not 'healthy' if you know what I mean. All the weight has piled back on and im so tempted to go back to SS, just with the 5hour eatings breaks, and having to weigh everything, it makes it impossible to socialise/go out anywhere. Agh, big phat dilemma? :p
