I currently on an sc400 so I love lexus however I'm a big m3 fan also. I plan on selling my car to get an e46 M3. However don't sleep on the is-F. remember the new m3 on is .1 seconds faster then the 7 year old m3from 0-60 which I find not impressive at all considering it has a v8 and almost 90 HP more :(. Mean while lexus is moving Forward as far as power is concerned. M5 is a whole nother ballgame tho. But to me the new m3 is way over priced.
Actually it's not true. I was in the car at the SD Car Show and there ARE 4 exhausts. They aren't actually connected to what you see on the back of the car though. The tips are mostly decorative with the exhaust being funneled through them. Doesn't really matter though as you can't tell from a distance and it makes no difference performance wise. The thing still hauls all sorts of arse!
6 colors, how ever, i wouldnt recomend it unless you know what yoru doing, or having a professional do it,you can have it re-painted, but i would nto recomend it, those cars are painted in the factory before the doors or chassis is even connected

M3's been tested in the Uk, and the opinion is, Not as good as the Audi RS4, not as good looking either IMO.
I like the look of this ISF, bit different from all the Audis and BMs on the road. RS4 looks good in most colours, but too much like an A4, M3, like a £series, and there's so many to the roads - not special. ISF is different at least, not from its little brothers, but there's not a lot of them around.
No way! What reviews you have been reading? Car and driver tested M3 to be faster and handles better as well. They will do a side by side comparison as well and it will be proven M3 is much better. I have read tons of French, Swedish and from the Netherlands comparing the RS4 and M3. The M3 has been always been the clear winner. They said it is much more exciting and more powerful (RS4 loses power due to AWD loss). RS4 is much heavier than M3 as well.
IS-F can't aim at M5 - they're not in the same class of cars :)

IS-F has just as much power as the M3. The IS-F has more torque too, but in the end it comes down to weight and handling, if BMW weighs less and handles better than it will probably be the faster of the 2. Looks-wise, BMW is on crack, all their new cars look like shit, IS-F looks tons better. And here's the nice thing, when you wake up in the morning you know ur lexus will start, the bmw, who knows...german cars are fast but unreliable.

Is350 performs just as well, if not better than the 335i. It would be no suprise if the is-f out performs the m3; after all, 295ib-ft of torque isn't really that much for the m3. Motor trend and others will pound the cars, and the winner will be picked. I can't wait for the verdict, whoever it is.

Too soon to tell who is going to kill who, but one thing is for certain. No one will look at Lexus the same after this car comes out. The M3 is an awesome car. The IS-F has definitely raised the game. We'll see what happens when they put these two cars head to head in the future.
The M3 is blasting 0-60 in 4.4 secs in bad and hot conditions (C&D). M3 makes 420 HP (BMW underrates it's cars always) and has a 8400 rpm redline. There is no way this thing will beat an M3. Not to mention, M3 is MUCH MUCH nicer looking.
I agree as well. The M3 is putting some serious numbers down (which are better than the RS4). It is hard to say how this will compete will the M3. I like the styling of M3 a lot more.
I think the thing that everyone forgets is the bottom line ... is the car fun to drive and do you enjoy it as an owner? Yeah, other cars put down better numbers. Other cars are faster. Other cars have a higher redline. At the end of the day though, who really cares? I would never buy a car based upon what it does on paper. Thus the reason there are so many great cars out there ... something for everyone.
The M3 is a great car and it will out perform just about anything. There is no disagreement here. I don't think this car is better than an M3, it's different. They are two different brands completely. My guess is that Lexus didn't build the IS-F to go head to head against one specific car, but rather to redefine the image that Lexus has to the consumer market.

6 colors, how ever, i wouldnt recomend it unless you know what yoru doing, or having a professional do it,you can have it re-painted, but i would nto recomend it, those cars are painted in the factory before the doors or chassis is even connected

It is probably less complicated and less expensive than the M5, besides, the M5 has a V-10, I don't think the IS-F was designed to compete with the M5.

M3's been tested in the Uk, and the opinion is, Not as good as the Audi RS4, not as good looking either IMO.
I like the look of this ISF, bit different from all the Audis and BMs on the road. RS4 looks good in most colours, but too much like an A4, M3, like a £series, and there's so many to the roads - not special. ISF is different at least, not from its little brothers, but there's not a lot of them around.

No way! What reviews you have been reading? Car and driver tested M3 to be faster and handles better as well. They will do a side by side comparison as well and it will be proven M3 is much better. I have read tons of French, Swedish and from the Netherlands comparing the RS4 and M3. The M3 has been always been the clear winner. They said it is much more exciting and more powerful (RS4 loses power due to AWD loss). RS4 is much heavier than M3 as well.

kouki - RS6 is heavier but it's not a family car anymore.. you just have to read the info about it and i'll asure u u'll say it beats 95% of cars on Laguna Seca (i'm wondering if it beats the lovely-turning M5)

IS-F has just as much power as the M3. The IS-F has more torque too, but in the end it comes down to weight and handling, if BMW weighs less and handles better than it will probably be the faster of the 2. Looks-wise, BMW is on crack, all their new cars look like shit, IS-F looks tons better. And here's the nice thing, when you wake up in the morning you know ur lexus will start, the bmw, who knows...german cars are fast but unreliable.

Is350 performs just as well, if not better than the 335i. It would be no suprise if the is-f out performs the m3; after all, 295ib-ft of torque isn't really that much for the m3. Like the man said, that bitch just put rubber down in 2nd gear, and its an auto. Bad bitch. As for looks, the m3 is hard to beat, but the is-f is nice. Motor trend and others will pound the cars, and the winner will be picked. I can't wait for the verdict, whoever it is.

Too soon to tell who is going to kill who, but one thing is for certain. No one will look at Lexus the same after this car comes out. The M3 is an awesome car. The IS-F has definitely raised the game. We'll see what happens when they put these two cars head to head in the future.

The M3 is blasting 0-60 in 4.4 secs in bad and hot conditions (C&D). M3 makes 420 HP (BMW underrates it's cars always) and has a 8400 rpm redline. There is no way this thing will beat an M3. Not to mention, M3 is MUCH MUCH nicer looking.

I agree as well. The M3 is putting some serious numbers down (which are better than the RS4). It is hard to say how this will compete will the M3. I like the styling of M3 a lot more.

I think the thing that everyone forgets is the bottom line ... is the car fun to drive and do you enjoy it as an owner? Yeah, other cars put down better numbers. Other cars are faster. Other cars have a higher redline. At the end of the day though, who really cares? I would never buy a car based upon what it does on paper. Thus the reason there are so many great cars out there ... something for everyone.

The M3 is a great car and it will out perform just about anything. There is no disagreement here. I don't think this car is better than an M3, it's different. They are two different brands completely. My guess is that Lexus didn't build the IS-F to go head to head against one specific car, but rather to redefine the image that Lexus has to the consumer market.
