Nope, not really extinct. Since the children of Trunks, Goten, Pan and Gohan have Saiyan DNA there offspring has a part of the DNA too. And since this game is after 1000 years after dragonball. The earthlings still might have Saiyan DNA dorment. Maybe there are missions to activate the DNA.
And no, Goku and Vegeta were nothing against Broly which also is a saiyan.
