You don't seem to understand... John Lennon wanted an end to war as a whole, including the reasons for war, the violence that comes with it, and the consequences of it. If people weren't killing innocent lives everywhere, than we wouldn't need war. Withdrawing troops will not end war, it'll only postpone it. If we withdraw, just like when Hitler invaded all of Europe, we'll be ignoring violence that has nothing to do with us. Either way, there's always an alternative to war.
