What he's saying is that if you're gonna exercise, then you have to stick to it. You can't walk for 10 minutes and then wolf down a gallon of ice cream. Diet and exercise only work if you are really into it and won't give up.

exactly. You have to have that mindset that you are going to eat healthy AND exercise. If you only exercise but eat high calorie foods you will not lose weight.

excercise, along with a good diet, is the key to lose weight. although some people might think its okay to swallow down a fat buttercake after they take a 10 minute walk, excercise can also affect you the other way. by doing something as positive as excercise, it can keep you on the right track. "ive been good today, so i dont wanna ruin it by eating a kilo of potato chips"

actually exercise won't make you thin, but it will make you healthy. everyone is too busy thinking about how to get skinny skinny skinny but what they should be focused on is their overall health through watching what they eat and that includes not eating a whole cake.
