  • dude i bought the same gun but the ultra compact and there was scrtches all over it and the fit sucks so i emailed them and they didnt get back with me so i called and they basically told me to get lost unless i want to pay for it to be remilled and finished so i sent them a letter with pictures and im waiting for a response i hope they make this right or i wont be buying another springfield

  • Iv'e been looking for the new Ruger SR 1911 gun for the last year now,? but they are all on BO from Ruger which sucks.? Hope fully I will find one soon.?

  • Nice gun but I don't much care for an Ambi safety,? on a 1911 gun.? You should put about 3-400 rounds through that gun to properly break it in right.? good luck with it & your new baby also.?

  • $800? How did you get that price? I just ordered mine for $950 including shipping, tax and transfer. Retail is about $1040... and I thought I got a great deal!

  • Perfect weapon for shooting notebooks

  • Am I the only one thinking that the combination gun + new born = trouble?

  • @TheScoperrr Why?I don't see anything in this video that indicates he isn't a responsible gun owner. If there's anyone that is now in danger more than before he had it, it would be the home invading dirtbags you read and hear about in the news all the time.

  • I won the S.A. 9mm Loaded Stainless 1911 with adjustable sights in a raffle at a speed on steel match and the gun is awesome! However, the 9 round-9mm magazines that Springfield send with it aren't great; I bought the Tripp Research 10 round-9mm mags and the gun has been perfect ever since. Accurate, tight, feels great, looks great, shoots great. Couldn't ask for more. One friend has already bought one after shooting it. 9mm in a 1911 is like cheating... it's great!

  • Hey I love your gun its real sexy but im confused. Why is yours made in Brazil but the ones on the springfield web site sais made in usa?

  • @FreemanFPS part are made in Brazil , then sent to America to get assembled so it still bears the "Made in America" thing people look for

  • That's a sweet ass gun. Live the finish. Looking to buy my first all stainless right now.

  • awesome finish, but if you a regular shooter like me that thing will get scrtaches and scuffs all over it it will piss you off in the beggining but you'll get over it

  • check out agi demonoid.me for torrent download with frostwire to download

  • shes born my uncles bday day after mine and the gun looks awsome makes me want one

  • the warrenty is great life time parts and labor , thats sweet love springfield.......

  • the range officer is only $799.99 around here atleast at my lgs......

  • Sweeeeeet!!!!....nothing like a quality piece...The good things about gun purchases, you never lose money on them

  • Love it, congrats on both your babys. I have 3 Springfields and love them all. I just bought 2 RIA 1911's and like them just as much.

  • I'm devastated on that steeler loss last night :( we were an injured team and only a shell of what we really are, but just wanted to say congrats on your baby girl and great vid man!

  • Would springfield re finish your slide for you if there wasn't blemishes already?

  • Nice gun but slide release and slide itself are stiff as hell. Will be sending back to factory for lifetime warranty adjustment. While at factory; I'll let the night sights be put on the slide that the distributor In Jacksonville Florida (Shooters) ripped me off on claimining at sale time they came with night sights on all loaded stainless models while they absolutely DO NOT...

  • I'm lookin to get a Springfield 1911 because of lifetime warranty. It will be my first gun too. Man I can't wait

  • I love how every gun/knife vid I watch the guy behind the camera sounds like a total redneck

  • @wallieburger Most us us are. Gun laws are real relaxed down South.

  • Nice gun. Congrats on the new baby!

  • ive seen a lot about the 1911, its not all good though. Im still questionable about them, but i havent been able to try any model for myself. the glock 19 is still my favorite small handgun. Used it for the first time on a military tourism trip in israel with a company called lionops, and out of all the guns we used on that trip, the glock was in the top 5. and we used a ton of different rifles, even a few shotguns and sniper rifles

  • these are some really awsome weapons,my uncle had the exact same model and wow! that was a blast to shoot it man, really nice and hella loud lol..yours is real nice to broo nice gun man..and yes thumbs up for springield armory!!!

  • Sweet side arm. I just bought one identical. I is alot better if you take the spring and rod out before you attempt to pull the slide lock/pin. Also put the spring and rod back in after re-installing the slide lock/pin.

  • Awesome weapon! The Springfield 1911s are hard to beat!

  • When you take down the 1911, you can put tape on the slide and frame areas to prevent those idiot scratches.

  • I love this video so much

  • the Springfield 1911 is a beautiful shooting gun. i just got mine today and it shoots like a dream.

  • Congrats on the Baby! & I'm bout to buy the Operator! SWEET!

  • Also the PX9105MLP's are made in the USA (if you are a person that cares about that).

  • I have a PX9105MLP 1911, which is the Springfield Operator. It is an absolutely amazing pistol out of the box. It is my carry weapon. I carry it with the Fobus R1911 holster.

  • I agree...... sweet ass gun! Looks really nice

  • @drigg5657 you should see it now! Check out the latest vid!

  • Just bought the exact same configuration about a month ago. Awesome gun. A little piece of advice though, I'd unscrew that set screw on the rear sight and put some blue locktite on it. Mine loosened up and the sight drifted almost all the way off after about 300 rounds.

  • Let me know how it shoots, bought the same gun few years ago and it fell apart on me after only 200 rounds, not even.

  • Comment removed

  • Congrats on your Angel! And Awesome Springfield! You got the best of both worlds brother! :)

  • I am currently waiting to pick mine up. I'm by D.C so mine was $900 out the door. Figures..... Anyway thanks for the warning about pulling it apart. I shall be extra careful ;). And on another note. If you're looking for grips. I've been shopping through VZ grips for 2 days now and I still can't decide. This company does beautiful work. There's different colors, texture options, and he even cuts out a mag release grove if requested. Anyway hope that helps you on your grip choice

  • YINZERS REPRESENT!

  • check your vid at 4:59 the scratch is still there

  • I can see the scratch in your slide at 6:17. Congrats on the baby.

  • Sweet ass gun!! I'm looking to get that exact model. I was going to go with the Kimber Custom II, but keep hearing their customer service is shit. I don't really want to deal with that if I encounter any problems. I would much rather go with a company that stands behind their product. And that's awesome they re-finished the slide for you! Just goes to show how commited they are to us "the customers"! So how the hell does it shoot?

  • congrats

  • Your 1911 weighs 9 pounds 13 ounces?

  • first off i would like to say congrats on your baby how is she and thats a lovely weapon im literally staring at it wishing i could get one

  • you should see here now! check out the rusty rags vid!

  • 10 months before I can get a handgun, but this is my choice. Its so beautiful! Except I'm going with the Full size G.I. Model.

  • AMAZING GUN!! congrats on ur kid too dude..thats awsome..

  • @futuresplintercell13 Thanks a lot!

  • Made in brazil??? How American.

  • First of all congrats on the baby girl..Awesome looking pistol..

  • @blitznk9 thanks!!

  • I'm 95% sure that I'll be buying this or a model similar to it within the next month. I've been wanting one for about 3 years now... time to pull the trigger (pun definitely intended!) congrats on your two new family additions! Semper Fi!

  • @BigAl0331 thanks

  • @BigAl0331 What is the MSRP on that gun.?

  • That's what I want!

  • Great looking weapon bro...I'm jealous! Lol!

  • I have the same gun but I got it wit some Crapy grips

I am gonna buy some did grips

  • Great vid man, good information. Congrats (i know its late) on the new baby. Take care.

Congratulations on your new Child. Great looking Pistol too!

  • Nice pistol. I like my Kimber Compact II. :)

  • cant wait till i get mine video was really helpful

  • @futuresolider96 no problem you will love it!

  • You can never go wrong with the Springfield line of 1911 manstoppers they seriously make a good reliable and very economical .45 and you are correct about their customer service they are pros and courteous they did you proud with that finish job happy shooting... And congrats on your new daughter

  • @shootload1911 Yes i love them both!! Thanks again for the congrats and watching! TAKE CARE!!

  • damn thats niiice lookin

  • Congrats on your two new babies. I know just how u feel. I got the same one in a target version. This gun rocks. The look, the feel, the accuracy, the reliability. It has it all. I have a couple of vids on it. Check them out. I made some mods. No Allen wrench guide rod and extended slide release. Springfield makes very nice quality pieces. U did good. Oh, also I have the G23, another great choice.

  • sweet 1911! i'm a yinzer too lol. i also have an idiot mark on my delta elite :( DOH!

  • dude! your serial number is fully visible!!! you might want to delete this video. Just lookin out for ya :)

  • I got a stainless springfield 1911A1 mil spec in 2008. It's my first pistol, still got it, still love it. I put the same half circle scratch on mine from the slide stop, but just took it as a lesson. There's a similar scratch on a WW2 Hi Power I bought recently, but I didn't do it. This kind of accident isn't anything new I guess lol If your springfield is anything like mine, enjoy the reliability! Nice 1911, and congrats on the munchkin!

  • i have seen about 3 or 4 range officers for 700 bucks

  • Hey Bro, I'm from the Burgh too...I live in Oregon now but I'll always be a Yinzer too. People out here look at me all weird when I say Yinz. Anyway, congrats on the birth of you kid. On the gun front, very nice Springfield Loaded. I been going back and forth on whether to get that or the Range Officer. Just when I think I made up my mind I see a video like yours and change again...HA. Anyway, good video and good to see a Burgher on here.

  • for reassembly info, check Limalife. She does all sorts neat stuff with 1911. Congrates with your purchase. Hope it works for ya, but if it doesnt have to go back to springfield armory a few times, I ll be surprised... great video

  • O man that is sweet dude! You are building up a real nice collection!

  • what do they call that model milspec or what? I love it.I have ss gi model that looked pretty bad and polished it with some micron 16 sandpaper my dad had laying around and it looks new now cant wait to get some flits polish should be like glass want to upgrade to something like yours should get a better trade in know thanks

  • I have the same gun and they are scratch magnets, i use eagle one billet polish on mine to keep them in check. The trigger will break in real nice after about 400 rounds or so, i just wish the seriations on the trigger wern't so sharp they are murder on the trigger finger.

  • Man, that is a beautiful gun......I may have to have one of those !

  • I have the same gun and made the same mistake. I accidentally went up and scratched the slide when putting the slide lock lever back in.

  • i got the dummy scratch too lolol

  • @leoffensive yea it sucks shot it yesterday! Vid is up! Gonna clean it today! I am scared lol

  • @Lookinformemarbles hahaha i use a knife or a flat screw driver to push the plunger in enough so it goes in a lot easier

  • My buddy tried breaking my ruger P89 down, it is the same break down design, and he gave me one of them nifty little half moon scratches on the polished stainless slide...

  • Awesome!!!!

Yes they have EXCELLENT customer service!!! =)

    SWEEEEEET Congrats!

  • Sweet... This same gun is next on my list... I cant wait.

  • beautiful 1911 and congrats on the new baby girl!!!! can wait on an update on both

  • you shouldn't have to lead the slide stop up then in. line it right up and push it in. be precise and use your fingers to keep it from shooting up or down and scratching the gun. if you feel alot of tension use a very small flat head to retain the plunger pin then push the stop in. it should become easier over time. there is a little mod you can do to the slide stop by grinding/sanding down in a certain spot. it makes it goin in like butter sauce.

  • @Mr1911Freak yea i am going to have to practice thanks for the advice a lot different then a Glock!! In so many ways lol

  • Congrats on both your new baby and that sweet piece. Now you have to go shoot that thing in single stack division USPSA! Run that gun yo!

  • @glockrock1 Thanks man

  • Beautiful piece, bro. And congratulations on the new member of the family!

  • I'm sending off one of my 1911's this week to Springfield for repair. I bought it used for a very low price and will take before and after pics/vids to show how they worked out for me. Generally any business I've done with Springfield has always been spot on.

  • @TacticalPhotog good luck man i am so happy! i just have to go shoot the dam thing!! raining and cold here! They will hook you up i am sure! keep is posted!!

  • Congratulations on your little angel baby girl and that sweet 1911 bro. I need to get me on of those since I don't have a 45. - Dan

  • Much congrats, bro! It's about time, eh? Glad everything went well for y'all. And the same can be said for your 1911!

  • Huge Congrats on the little girl yall have been wanting! And your Springfield is a beauty man!! Take care of em both!

  • @tim12161974 thanks man ! hope all is well with you!

  • @Lookinformemarbles Things are great here Mike! Gettin married Monday, so gettin ready for that. Did ya have any range time with the 1911?

  • Congrats on your baby girl bro! And the stainless is superb fosho!

  • @The45Reason thanks man! she is a dooozie!! o and i like the gun too!!

  • Nice gun man!!! Heads up... Run some good brass through it for the breakin period. Like a good 200 rounds. I would stay away from steel casings. If you want to use a cheaper ammo on it, use some aluminum casings. Its a softer metal than the steel. I know it will run really good if you do it that way. Sometimes you can find good deals on Blazer ammo. Just my 2 cents. everyone does it different. I love those grips on it right now. Simply beautifullll!!

  • Congrats bro!! Sweet pistol. Very nice. Good deal.

  • dam that gun is nice. u got some asses who thumbs downed ur video. how could they thumbs down something so beautiful

  • That gun looks SEXY as hell! Thanks for posting.

  • congrats on the little one. I am waiting on my little one

  • Sweet i love my GI model 1911 once you get it broke in it will be like a well oiled machine. I can't get mine to jam. Had a couple of hicups when i first go it now it runs like a sports car. Springfield has great customer service.

  • Congrats on the baby!!

  • def a nice piece man congrats on the baby!!!

  • sweet gun bro!i got a range officer on lay a way right now, cant wait till i pick it up!GOD bless ya bro!p.s.i am gonna try to film what might be wrong with your car,if i have a 3.4 come in the shop.

  • nice

  • were did you find springfield gi ? i cant find any 1911s springfields around me even online were can i find these dude

  • Looks good man.... I bought my 1911 used and I don't have to worry about the idiot scratch because mine came with one lol. I don't know how your 1911 will do with JHP self defense ammo but mine does not like the regular hallow points so I am using the Pow'R Ball ammo with the polymer round tips that make the round feed like a FMJ.

  • beautiful gun u got there and congrats on the little girl, I have the exact same gun and mine came a little dinged up as well and with what i assume is a factory idiot scratch gonno have to contact springfield and see what they say. thanx for the heads up on that

  • Wow, you are having a great couple of weeks. Congrats on the baby girl, my daughters birthday is fen. 28 but she just turned 23. Time flies. Congrats on the Spfingfield she is beautiful, you will get use to the takedown quickly. A G23 is another great buy, your on a roll Mike, great video.

  • congrats on the birth of you're daughter, and that springer is beautiful brother!

  • what did u say to spingfield to get them to refinish ur slide? I think ima buy that same gun but the 4 inch maybe the 3.5

  • Now that is a nice gun! Good buy there

  • @humans4targets2 Thanks Paul! Glad to see ya!

  • I love that pistol and congrats to you DAD!!!

  • Congrats on your daughter and your Springfield! It looks awesome. I'm a big fan of them too. I have a takedown/reassembly vid on my channel (check it out!) that might have helped :) I use a very small flat head screwdriver (covered with black tape) to depress the plunger while putting the takedown lever/ping back in. That's a good price for the A1 Loaded btw. 1911's rock!

  • Mike it really looks sweet. when you kicked the cam to micro or whatever u did, I was just thinking how sweet the grips looked and not to change them, then u turned around and said u wanted black, oh well. whatever u do I'm sure it will look awesome! Congrats on both, best of luck with the new gun!!

  • @thestubby0032 thanks buddy! i might keep em on there foe awhile!! We have to hook up and shoot the 45's!!

  • Congrats on both your new gun and baby girl. My wife is over due with our new son. That is part of the reason I have not made much vidyas. Congrats again and take care Bro.

  • @blacktrx409 please do thanks!! send it to me so i know it is up!

  • good looking gun...i am jealous man

  • I LOVE HOW PEOPLE THUMBS DOWN YOUR VIDS WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO THUMBS DOWN! WHY WOULD THEY WATCH IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT? JEALOUSY IS A BITCH I GUESS.. ANYWAY CONGRATS ON BOTH NEW THINGS IN YOUR LIFE...

  • @thebushwackerkid thanks some people are just meanies!! lol

  • man u got ur self a nice weapon brother SA is more reliable u will injoy it anyhow congratz on ur babby girl :)

  • Awesome looking piece. Maybe it's just me but shooting the cheaper steel rounds seemed to get my Glock dirty alot quicker than brass rounds. Just what I noticed from personal experience. Congrats on your other new addition.

  • Do you still wan them american legend grips? remember it has that polished brass logo I also have all black hogue wrap arounds? I have some ergo green regular rubber grips not wrap arounds

  • @TheJmac1983 sure man i have been busy and not had a chance to get back to ya! let me know thanks

  • @Lookinformemarbles no prob dude would you rather have black wrap arounds or just regular black rubber grips not wrap arounds? I got a pair of regular black rubber grips that came on my Kimber they dont say kimber on them so you could use them on you Springfield just let me know we could maybe trade for that SOG that needs the safety fixed?

  • I thought springfield's were american made, why does it say made in Brazil on the side?

  • congrats on the birth of your child, 1911 pretty damn nice as well

  • congrats on both the new toys

  • @mrlaminin thanks man

  • Im a Rock Island fan, but those are really nice looking. I was looking at a Spring GI Stainless a few weeks ago.....I am making a cleaning video, which will show a take down, posting within a week...

  • @CaptainBerz thanks!

  • Nice piece Mike.

  • @KnifesNat thanks man!

  • Celebrating the birth of your daughter with a new Springfield. Congratulations on both!
