  • Great information. I use Adobe Audition to clean the noise. There are more precise controls resulting in a cleaner sound. I always hold on to my LPs rather than get rid of them.

  • you dipshit... I watched this entire load of bullshit, thinking you were an audio engineer, and had some golden information.

  • @MartinGilmour Now why would you call Bernie a dipshit, not very cool

  • Interesting video Bernie, but I enjoy hearing your stories the most. You're more savvy about computers than many of your peers. And interesting and cool guy. We're all glad you haven't, as you say, kicked-off. More videos when you can and feel like it. Peace.

  • I see all you handome guys on YouTube all dressed up :O) I like the suits an ties.

  • Hey Bernie, good to hear from you again. Keep the videos up! Ben

  • Nice to see you Bernie, thanks for the heads up on that, I'm not really interested in converting LP's onto CD's but it would be good to have my collection as files on the computer

  • Ah! Mr Bernhard is looking swell today!

By the way, does it do 78rpm? I have some Ricardo Caruso from the 20ties...

  • Thanks old friend!

Yes, you can do 78s, but you have to do them first as 33s and then merely reset them for 78s.

You know there are two kinds of 78s. The real old ones have deep grooves and quite frankly, I don't know if you can play them with the diamond needle.

  • Thanks Bernie,

You can very well do them with diamond needles. Even with thorn needles, according to Peter. And I have quite a number of only the really old ones, as well as an original wind up grammophone.

By the way, it is off course Enrico Caruso...

There are nice recordings of him on YT.

  • OH NO I'm an 'OLDER PERSON' ? ... thanks for starting my day this way.. and I haven't even looked into a mirror yet, I like to pretend before then. You tell me of this LP/CD thing after I spent my life savings on replacing all my LPs with CDs. I do like the scratchy sound of the LPs though. Glad to see you. :O) p.s. you look quite dapper and handsome (as always) :O)

  • Thanks for the advice.

  • I got it on Amazon.

The invoice says: ION iTTUSB Turntable with USB Record, $ 106.95 and no shipping charge.

  • Hey Bernie! Great to hear from you!
