You have to beat the first Top Gear challenge in special events - the one where you race the bus. But the thing is, you need to get gold. Getting a bronze or silver won't unlock the course.

If you customize a standart nissan gtr you can make it fasterv than the bugatti you get less bhp and top speed only 402 km/H or 250 mph but still very fast

There's bad driving, and then there's that. By the time you get to hammerhead (which you did painfully slowly), even novice drivers could have finished the lap, achieved 100% completion on the game and saved up enough money to buy a real Veyron.

@skatethehouse999 it is better. Its just this guy can drive worth a shit, And its not going up in MPH its Km/ph.. The diffrence between this and forza is that forza is a game, this is a simulator. And if you get and HD version where its on a better track (the detail in this track is horrible) you will see what its all about :P

If you watch top gear, then you will really understand that this is an example of terrible driving. Some of the corners wernt cut enough, and you werent in the lines much, and thats not the cars fault. Through the follow through were didnt go flat out, and you slow down afterwards which you shouldnt and the second to last corner, well in real life everyone fails at it XD but you did gambon too slowly.

@jbrun009 You just need to low down more first, your probably used to arcade style racers witch let you hang corners at extremely fast speeds...GT5 is far more how the car would behave during real life cornering. You just do realize how fast your going because you can't feel the G-forces in a videogame, but GT5 has one of the closest game-to-real life lap times for all the cars in contains. Once again, try braking earlier, not blaming the game for your driving faults.

@Kuson2 I realise its supposed to be realistic, and sorry fans, I'm not trying to upset anyone. It just seems the steering is unecesarily unresponsive. I could flip my real car at 60 mph if I just yanked the wheel to the side, not possible in GT. In Driver, for instance, when you press left, it goes to full wheel lock, why can't Gran Turismo just do that, without buying a wheel

@jbrun009 Don't know, all I know is that the game handles way different with a wheel, and thats what GT is made for. I have a wheel and I've tested both ways, driving with a wheel will and dose change the way the cars behave. As far as flipping at 60 MPH in real life, yes, that is true, but find me ONE game that does that. =/

I'm not saying GT5 is perfect...far from it in fact. But a lot of people exaggerate the issues it does have to an extreme level.

@born2stab No, the driving is fairly realistic once you get the hang of it. The graphics are indeed inconsistent because of the good looking cars contrasting the tracks that look like a 3 year old drew them with their own shit. It makes you think that polyphony haven't really done too much in the 5 years of production. That said, it is an incredibly fun game (something quite rare these days) and I enjoy every minute of it, even the fucked user interface.
